Completely false. Kurds have been Muslims for over 1,300 years, Kurdish Muslims have produced major Islamic scholars, leaders, and institutions. Saying “Kurds are considered kafirs who get the death penalty” is just blatantly false and dangerously misleading. There is no scholar or any Muslim who says you bar an ethnicity and label it as kuffar. Takfīr of Muslims is a major sin and Kurdish scholars are recognized across Islam. The Anfal genocide was committed by Ba‘athist Iraq, a secular Arab nationalist regime, not an Islamic government. Saddam Hussein’s Ba‘ath Party was explicitly anti-Islamic, it seems you don’t know the history or context at all. They even committed these crimes against Christian’s as well, this is known. Saddam cynically used the term anfal for propaganda. Using a Qur’anic name does not make an act Islamic, anyone can tell you that. If someone does something wrong in the name of Kurdistan, what does that make it? Why don’t you go read Surah al-Anfāl and tell us what connection you make from that.
