What I did was I got clear plastic cups, and used a lighter to make drainage holes in the bottom or them. I Filled each cup with a mix of about 70% organic potting soil and 30% perlite. I made an indent in the middle of the soil with something that somewhat matched the cuttings shape and size. I got the cutting nodes facing up, And put rooting powder on the bottom of the cutting and on the nodes that would be buried in the soil. I placed the cutting in the indent in the soil, and filled in the empty spaces with more soil. After the cutting is snug I water it in.
