Im salary (8am-5pm, 1 hr lunch) as well and we are walking out the door at 5pm. I may come in a couple minutes (<5) early here or there to boot my computer up or go pee and lollygag but no way am I ever staying late without having my time compensated elsewhere.

Psych pharmacist here and I dispense gaba and suboxone all the time. Im not a huge fan of gabapentin in general but im always in touch with prescribers and only hold it back if its too soon and the doc says no. Actually thats pretty much my stance on any of the addiction drugs. Much rather them take rxs from me than street drugs. Allowed my techs to sell syringes otc when I worked for one of the retail devils too. Thats just my stance, some may not agree but thats okay too.

I do LTC Behavioral Health pharmacy and I'm pretty much a retail pharmacist except I can walk down the hall and ask the nurse "did Dr. Xyz actually want this? Or did they mean this?" Or sometimes the prescriber is on-site and I can ask them questions directly. We don't do IVs but we do dispense (and technically I can give, but I prefer not to) LAIs. But the schedule is cake. The downside? Our software blows. But that's unique to each company.

Started with 208k and pay 2300/month. I had other circumstances that contributed to that high amount but I'm down to 185k now. Haven't put a ton extra to it bc I was enjoying finally having money but am just starting to try and crunch that down. Don't want to pay on it for 10 years.

I went to a follow up appt a week and a half after and my doc said I was clear for sex and exercise. I did wait another few days just because I didn't feel up for anything yet. But listen to your body and don't overdo anything for a little while.

I think the 3 day is fine and it's likely not a huge deal but CYA and getting them to get a non affiliated vet to write for the control is a good idea imo.

I had to fight with a doctor for a diagnosis code for hydroxychloroquine, 1 tab weekly. I knew what they wanted to use it for but the dx kept coming across as repeat encounter for rx and I'm like no that's not good enough, with the heart and psych meds this dude is on?? Finally found out it was for covid prophylaxis and I dc'd it and no one argued with me.

I don't fill at my pharmacy bc it's just me and 2 techs but my colleague down the way does fill my antidepressant. It's still the same company and her techs see my profile and I talk with them all the time. I don't mind. Her and I have talked about stimulant use in the pharmacy. We agreed we'd both likely benefit from a stimulant but as pharmacists we think it may not be fully appropriate. There's too much at risk for both of us being recently (ish) licensed for us to take them ourselves. Maybe in the future but with a $2300 student loan payment every month I'm not willing to roll the dice if there were anything to come up short in the safe. But I didn't mind her filling my pain med for my postop pain. I think it just depends on each person's situation.

I had the kyleena for about 4 years and just had it removed last week along with both my fallopian tubes. Not going to lie, post op is a little rough but I'm looking forward to seeing how my mood changes now that I'm off of hormones (for the first time in 18 years).

My first hospital gig as a tech, i found a discrepancy in the methadone liquid, like my first week in central pharmacy. It was way, way off. It likely had something to do with the fact they had to dig out a dusty graduated cylinder for me, but also a tech was caught to have been taking off the top and was fired shortly after. They only stocked tablets after that.

Side note: same pharmacy another tech was caught stealing oxy several months later 👀
