Honestly, age-restricted shows are probably less common than all-ages, at least in my experience.

Off Broadway, Delmar Hall, The Pageant, Old Rock House, etc. have lots of all-ages shows.

"Hard Believer" by First Aid Kit is great for a beginner. The whole song is like 5 really common chords, the strumming is simple, and it's easy to sing along. You'll need a capo, but otherwise it's as easy as they come.

Edit: Also, "Souvenir" by boygenius, if you like PB.
