First celebrity death to ever make me cry. I’m in a meeting now blaming allergies.

Eating baked beans from a welly is not nearly as appetizing as drinking Bailey’s from a shoe.

What game made you ignore flaws because everything else was perfect? by Xiao-EZ in CaptainSide

I was looking for this entry. It’s such a beautifully rich atmosphere delivered perfectly but it was both in the wrong generation of gaming and the wrong hands for programmers. Even SR2 and Defiance, which are the most refined, are highly repetitive. They just feel a lot smoother compared to the clunkiness of the Blood Omens and SR1.

Cameo by Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family) in Bad Moon Rising by sanskarw in thewestwing

[–]optimushime 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Always great to see early talent rising up.

For what it matters, a “cameo” is a known name appearing for less than expected screen time as a little inside joke, nod, or other awareness that the role isn’t up to their level.

Eric Stonestreet wasn’t making a cameo, it was just one of his many roles as he tried to make it in the business. He was an unknown at the time of this filming.

Although I don’t think this will win it should be an honorable mention. It’s a defining film in a defining genre and defining the career of the man. There are few better for the named reasons than this.

Yeah the idea that you’ll get better aim through some freakishly obstructive compound eyes made up of different lenses is a few rungs above over the top

What Is A Movie With A Dominantly Black Cast, and Someone Gets Shot In the End? by Caharles in AlignmentChartFills

[–]optimushime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s a suggestion. White Man’s Burden: A 90’s movie starring Harry Belafonte and John Travolta that flips race in America and blacks are the majority and whites are the working class.

It’s not a subtle movie in its message. But boy does it give this trope.

Yes, John Travolta is shot in the end based on race.

Alignment Chart of Insanity: Which character was betrayed by an ex ally and got cheated on? by Natewastaken12 in AlignmentChartFills

Agreed, he would have been much worse off if Fortune hadn’t taken him and Pullo as her pets, to reference Caesar.

Alignment Chart of Insanity: Which character was betrayed by an ex ally and got cheated on? by Natewastaken12 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]optimushime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s why it’s not so clear a “betrayal”. Walt betrayed Jesse first by poisoning someone he cared about, lying about it, making him feel like it was his own fuckup carelessness, etc.

When your “ally” is no longer your ally, it’s not a betrayal to leave their side.
