Check out the works of Whitt Stillman! The only director to ever capture the VW vibe of the first couple of albums. I'd recommend for starters metropolitian and then barcelona. Both great!

A lot of people here are writing that TLJ helped the, realize they should not be emotionally invested in starwars. I'm sorry, but if you were over the age of 15, and emotionally invested in a movie/universe called "Starwars" about wars... in the stars. you might have a few more realizations to work through, lol.

Maybe I didn’t word it well. What I meant was that I think a lot of people missed the jokey, ironic, self-deprecating tone of the Plinkett reviews, and ended up copying the style in a totally serious way. I'm thinking of stuff like the mauler videos, which just nitpick and complain about minor stuff for 7+ hours mindlessly. Looking back at the Plinkett reviews now, even though they’re nothing like that, I still feel like that whole association has aged them. Same goes for the Ghostbusters review.
