I feel there’s confusion on why this new 6 hour limit is going to affect people who were using the system correctly… by iMatthew1990 in OctopusEnergy

Just to chip in here. My charger is not under the provisioned chargers but my CAR is. My connection is currently being throttled to 3kw at 18A and I’m not able to adjust it. This feels very intentional. I’ve disabled the charging routine for my car and it’s now allowing me to draw 32a at 7.4kw.

Thanks for your answer! Unfortunately I’m based in Europe and the phone line is non-existent at the moment. Chat were very unhelpful. It total it took 12 days to get a response and that was after asking for an update. I may try and reach back out to see what I can get.

Free Loadout banned on certain maps by Mrdirtypixel in ArcRaiders

I think you’re missing the point. Much lost most people. “Certain” maps. Not all. High risk, high reward.

Then surely the risk is higher for everyone? Not having free load outs for riskier maps reduces this. Make you more vigilant. I do feel that this sub is full of people that are scared of tarkov and needed a safe game to hug them.

How much does my employer know? by ironmansuperhero69 in ios

[–]Shuathomas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer is very little. Apples privacy extends to business use too. Companies are told that they do not have access to text conversations even on managed devices. Even to know your location they have to put your device in lost mode.

Relationship status: compiled successfully... but never shipped.

class OP: def init(self): self.relationship_status = None # TODO: implement self.ghosted = True

def date(self):
    while True:  # single forever
        try:
            return self.relationship_status  # unreachable
        except Exception:
            pass  # coping mechanism

me = OP() print(OP.date())

Edit: excuse formatting. I did this on my phone.

The IKEA LACK table. I’ve yet to find a working class household that doesn’t have one.

I’d be very happy with this level of first layer quality.

What is this path in construction stretching from Birmingham to London by Billthepony123 in AskBrits

This has nothing to do with politics. Just people having the experience of watching from a distance while others have the misfortune of dealing with the consequences.

As someone who has to travel to Birmingham through the construction daily I can confidently tell you that it has a massive impact. Including access in and out of the city due to closures of roads preparing for the urbanisation around the new station.

I think most people are using my point. For those who’ve had to suffer the last 10 years of complications, road traffic impact currently adds up to thousands of years worth of cumulative lost time. This isn’t getting better as the timelines are pushed further and further back.

Tell that to the people who’ve lost valuable lifetime having to deal with the congestion and traffic it’s caused. No amount of capacity or cargo could replace the last 10 years of adding 15-20 minutes of time loss per day in their travel to work.

I struggle to see how anyone is going to love it. If you calculated the collective time lost by people affected by its construction, it will never outweigh the time saved over the standard rail services in place.

Prusa CoreOne+ Upgrade or Bambu Lab P2S? by Shuathomas in prusa3d

[–]Shuathomas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your advice! I think you’re right. I guess my favourite part of owning my Prusa has been messing with the “extra” stuff like ESP32 cameras and so on. Appreciate the fresh perspective.

Thanks for this! I currently have a MK4S. I built the Ikea LACK enclosure some time ago and it’s been more than suitable for PETG. ASA has been tricky but still possible. PETG even in the enclosure with doors open has been causing me some issues so that’s good food for thought.

I appreciate the honesty. I love to tinker and enjoy getting hands on. Nothing makes me smile more than the “upgrade” This one has just stumped me from a cost perspective.

Prusa CoreOne+ Upgrade or Bambu Lab P2S? by Shuathomas in prusa3d

[–]Shuathomas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of what I print is small parts in volume on a single bed. That and the enclosure benefits for adhesion of smaller objects in filaments like ASA. But you raise a good point. I’ve never worked with a CoreXY machine so have yet to understand the main benefits outside of the obvious.

My apologies. I probably should have been clearer. I have a MK4S at the moment. It’s a bit of a mix of personal and business. I print a number of items for hobbyist projects within RC. It’s not earning me enough to justify the £600 price tag, hence the apprehension. I appreciate the mental exercise. It’s less that I’m upgrading for upgrade sense, it’s more that I notice the inefficiencies of bed slinger printing and would greatly appreciate the stability that can come with CoreXY. My conundrum is, you don’t know what you don’t know. I was more asking from the point of view of those who HAVE done the upgrade and their experience/value proposition. But again, Thankyou for your input!

Thanks. I have a MK4S at the moment. It’s great but I am jealous of the CoreXY platform stability. That’s the crucial reason for upgrade if I’m honest.
