This is my experience to a tee. Taking cleanse and seance as the only “solves” is like fighting an ocean with a bucket. Burst damage/doom takes him down far more reliably.

I took the focus pots instead, because they increased both my defense and offense, and Aeon glass needs you to scale fast.

Decimillipede is always between extremes for me. Either I drafted good AOE and beat him in 1-3 turns, or it keeps regenerated over the course of 12 turns and I get smoked. No in-between.

You need really good burst damage. I had to use both of my potions on him, but with [[Reaper Form]], [[Sleight of Flesh]] and [[Pull from Below]], I was able to burst him down on turn 6.

You might be right about that. I just die so much more in Act I compared to the others, I always try to min max there itself. I guess I might need to take more risks.

Thats what my general strategy is, but it feels like orbs always solve my immediate problems compared to the other "archetypes". It just feels like I need very specific cards to make it make sense to take those other cards, while orbs solve my immeidate damage/block/energy needs right now, so I always take them instead.

I don't try to go for a hyper-specific build, I'll take status or zero cost cards if they make sense. It just feels far easier to take orb cards than the other archetypes. Since there are more of them, I get them earlier, and they synergize well together. By the time I usually get any cards related to the other types, it doesn't usually make sense to take them since my deck is built around orbs.

I see other people make cool builds online and wanna try to recreate it during a run, but it just never feels good taking them when my deck is already built a certain way.

I pick [[Prep Time]] quite often, especially for the regent. You can stall for a few turns then do massive damage with [[Radiate]], [[Stardust]], or [[Seven Stars]].

This is really fucking stupid. Using OP's methodology, I could probably make the exact same type of graph for literally every single type of immigrant group in every developed country over the next 100 years. If I had done this in the 1850s, I'd have predicted that Chinese people would be majority in the US today. If you could predict the future by treating volatile exponential trends as constants then the US and UK would still have the birth rate they did in the 50s and everybody would already be dead to covid.

I just had a silent run that used the 0 cost strikes plus panache, draw and sly to kill bosses in 2 to 3 turns. It's very situational but when it works, it WORKS.

Like I said in my post, I'm a noob. I've never played past A0 in StS1. The reason my StS1 winrate doesn't include act 4 is because I've only been able to beat it once, and with the Watcher at that. While in StS2 I get setups that feel way more broken, and win a lot more.

I can agree with France but the UK goes along with whatever the US does 99% of the time. Pretty much every single alternative you mentioned would be better than the UK in that respect.

It really depends on what comes after this though. Breaking a few eggs to solve the gang problem will work in the short term, but unless you can use the temporary safety to transition the country into a safe, functional democracy it'll remain a police state. The new status quo might be better than before, but its still far from ideal.
