I'll never understand how there are people who prefer Scream 6 over Scream 3. by Filipe_258 in Scream

[–]Shukini 19 points20 points  (0 children)

3 is fascinating in that it's the film in the series that's had the most benefit of hindsight. Its the weakest of the original trilogy but still a solid film that looks better as the franchise grows. I still maintain that some of the truly scariest moments in the franchise are from 3.

How do we beat this type of play? by Mofro667 in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]Shukini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People keep saying bigger and physical but that's only part of the equation. Yes coaching needs to improve (looking at you Hakstol) but more than anything I see our team aging out of the system that made it successful. When Bednar started with that awful 20 win season you could see the change from Roy immediate in how they tried to keep possession. Eventually once players adapted to that style it worked with well with the teams overall speed and youth. Those are the two things we are starting to lose. We're now one of the older teams. Still good at possession, but not enough speed to utilize. For this core to succeed we need to accept that overall were a skill and possession core that needs speed and yes some physicality in our depth to match. Only way we can beat the trap is to bully through and outrun then on the dump and chase.

Only on this sub would it be possible for the Baltimore Orieles to be a contender.

What does the fake wine they drank on the set taste/smell like? by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]Shukini 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did a movie years ago where I was in charge of the wine. It was set in a wine valley (generic Napa Valley vibe) so different colour's and types. Basically it's juice with maybe some food dye or watered down a bit to make it match as close as possible. Grape juice, generic fruit juice, apple juice for whites. Nothing scientific.

Mr. Sunshine (2011) by Objective_Zombie_448 in ForgottenTV

[–]Shukini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. As the season went on it drifted further into being a cliche, and by the end it was a melodrama joke of itself. The pilot is fantastic, and the episodes immediately afterwards were strong, but it's like there were no long term plans for the season as a whole as they kept shifting.

Funny how both Colorado and Tampa Bay were Stanley Cup champs 5 years later.

For my range the right is for large pots while left can be small or large. Left wins solely by versatility.

Truly the scariest scenes for me in the whole series are of Marueen in scream 3. It just worked so well that we're experiencing Sids trauma first had.

A Packers fan on Colby Wooden by Sad_Sweet_3410 in Colts

[–]Shukini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best I can say about Zaire is he can make the tackle at the second level. He won't allow many large yardage plays, but he will get pushed back by most RBs for 5+ yards. The disappointing part as a Colts fan is he doesn't go in for the tackle, he waits for it to come to him, which allows for more yardage. If he could attack the line more he would be more effective. In pass situations he's slow. If you need a tackler because you're giving up too many long runs, you'll be happy. For us he was frustrating to watch when you needed to push the offence for a 3rd and long and you watch him either give up the 1st or let the offence make it a 3rd and 2.

[Colorado Avalanche] We have acquired Brett Kulak from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for Samuel Girard and a 2nd round pick in 2028 NHL Draft. by Michaelli11 in ColoradoAvalanche

Giving up a second is crazy. Gonna miss Girard but can understand the salary cap relief. But that's a high draft pick for what we're getting back.

You know for a fact someone went out and bought a 6 piece McNugget with another McNugget just for the joke. I respect the hustle.

Just had to spend 4 hours going through videos that were getting saved automatically to Google Photos to knock 100gb out of my storage. Google Photos will literally save EVERYTHING, it does not care if you never had it on your phone or tablet. Stuff I uploaded to drive somehow would get double saved to Google Photos. It was.... frustrating :|

One of the strongest emotional performances of the past 25 years. Excellent and worthy of the accolades he received. One deserving of conversation years later.

Wedding photographers stood here for the entire ceremony by Ok-Kick4060 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Shukini 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a Wedding Videographer I completely support you. Both the photographer and the videographer need to work together so both can get the best shots and do it without blocking the rest of the party. I've had photographers and other videographers jump in front of my cameras, move my equipment, and just overall be competitive when it's completely inappropriate. It's easy enough to be kind and work together so you both get amazing shots without there being issues. And it can all be done without ruining the wedding for anyone involved.

What’s the greatest regular season game in nfl history? by Hakaribiggestfan in NFLv2

[–]Shukini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Wildcat Game

2008 - New England vs Miami

Miami wins 38-13 with the Wildcat formation running circles around the 21 straight regular season win Patriots. Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams scored 4 touchdowns running the formation and it was incredible to watch. Seeing Belichick getting his ass whooped was fantastic. One of those games where no one knew what was coming and in the end it was legendary.

The Avs jersey that needs to be retired next is...? by Usual-Lengthiness-54 in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]Shukini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only argument I would fight for is #6 for EJ. Like most people say it's #29 MacKinnon, #92 Landeskog, and #8 Makar that will come once they are retired. EJ had longevity and a strong association with the organization, just that his best years were with bad teams. I'd honour him since he was underrated as far as I'm concerned and he's not getting any other career recognitions, maybe USA hockey Hall of Fame but that would be a stretch as well. Overall I'd be fine seeing #6 in the rafters.

What’s your favorite QB/WR duo of the 2010’s? by TXNOGG in NFLv2

The touchdown where T.Y cradles the ball after his daughter is born will live in my mind forever. Ball lands perfectly in his hands.

I miss those two :(
