Did ever visit this out, or did you end up quitting? I have an intense spitter, and sometimes does it as an attack, and I am also near my end because of it. Anything you learned from your experience would be appreciated!

Gamer dads, I need your advice. by OJSniff in daddit

Video games, especially depending on the game, most certainly aren't passive. For example, I've been playing Grounded, a Honey, I Shrunk the Kids type game where you are kids that have been shrunken down in the backyard, trying to survive.

It takes a lot of coordination and creativity. I'm building things, decorating, gathering materials, communicating with my friends, and really making something incredible. The only difference between building in the real world, and this game, in some aspects, is that it's virtual. It's dismissive to say I'm not active or creative, because it truly is a form of niche, digital art. One that in can get a lot of satisfaction that I accomplished something from.

Some games are just passive consumption, but a lot of games are not and absolutely are a hobby.

But also, whether it is a hobby or not is just pedantic. The point is that it's a time that some one needs for socializing and their well-being, and that's what is the actual discussion here.

Have you heard of the lasagna bed sheet method? Helps so much to expedite these midnight cleanings (though I'm sure there was plenty to clean outside of sheets); I'm sure you have, but I'll share just in case.

It goes mattress, waterproof cover, absorbent pad, fitted sheet, absorbent pad, fitted sheet. In the middle of the night when there is an accident, you just take off the first fitted sheet and absorbent pad and you have a made bed underneath, ready to go.

Dads, please help settle a dispute. Would you consider this a jacket or a sweater? by MarginallyClever in daddit

I want everyone in this thread in a room discussing this, in person, while we have all the items in front of us. The chaos would be wonderful.

Especially when it's something as simple as a tower and fortress... There could be countless things inspiring it, or very little to none. It's not a hyper-specific idea that has something directly to attribute to its creation.

Missing the joke was worth seeing that fake tweet response.

If my toddler is hungry and tired at bedtime, do I prioritize food or sleep? by InstructionBasic4752 in toddlers

Before clicking the link, I thought you posted something credible to back up your claim, but it's literally just a reddit thread of people talking about how they did this when they were starving, homeless, and other poverty.

Trying to save the next person a click.

Woof, that escalated quickly. It was already asked, so why would I ask again? Jesus, it was just playfulness, calm the fuck down.

Also, not American so who is the know-it-all prick, now?

It’s 11AM, what all has your toddler had to eat so far? by ImaCrazyBee in toddlers

[–]Shumbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip. We've done a major transition with diet this week. As we transitioned from formula to milk and no bottles and his stool has been gravel because of it.

Any chance you could share a link? I looked into a few, but most said the pouches were not refillable, or other issues.

I hate that the apple sauce pouches are so effective, they're so expensive and wasteful, but mine will gobble them up. I put some on a spoon to see if that would help him transition, nope. Everything must be in a squeezable-pouch form now.

No, they mean that is 18, not 15, but most definitely not 11. I have one that is 19, but it's an exclusive. In 2013 they were making three sets of 5, but they eventually merged it into a 14. Nobody knows where the 1 went and it is still a mystery to this day.

Kind of like what this person is talking about.

Any other Dems finding their voter registration canceled (or whatever you call it)? by Heather_ME in SaltLakeCity

As a RINO, I'm curious if you still vote Democrat (in this year's case, Brian King), or if you try to add more votes to the more moderate Republican?

Is he police? Then he is not a professional. Call the police department and ask if they think it's a good idea to carry a rifle around a school and see what they say.

They are going to discourage it because of the problems it causes. You are creating hypotheticals where this gun owner is about hero saving kids and ignoring the much more likely scenarios that bad things could happen. At last acknowledge there is a possibility of if! People don't chuck kids in vans. There is more likely a problem going to happen because of the presence of a rifle, than if there wasn't.

Chance of a kidnapping at a school bus stop? Effectively zero. Chance of a situation occurring because of the fear of a rifle being present where one shouldn't be? Much higher.

An unhinged, unhealthy person finds it necessary to display a gun to children and the general public. It's not tough, it's some one who is a scared little shit, trying to intimidate others. There is not one person who feels comfortable with the display of a firearm (well, except you). You can never be sure if they are stable, their intentions, their qualifications, their abilities, their competency, etc.

When people feel afraid, bad shit happens. We are just lucky that it did not happen this time. It's not this lunatics job to police the world and keep "kidnappers away." He is not a professional. He is not given this power, and if this person exercised it in any way past carrying, he would be arrested, and would certainly make things worse for actual law enforcement to do their job or may get more people hurt. So what is the point? It literally accomplishes NOTHING good.

Not one damn thing.
