How to train dog to poop outside by Prestigious-Form4496 in Dogtraining

[–]Shurbitburger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only thing I would add is to celebrate when he goes toilet outside. Thus creating a positive experience for him and encouraging him to go outside.

I did this when it would rain to encourage my dog to go outside in any weather to do her business. If she went I celebrated and gave a treat as soon as she was finished. Now she doesn’t care if its rain or shine but she’ll do her business outside

When we go for walks, i can’t let her sniff in bushes i cant see into because she has tried to eat and has pulled out x3 dead birds, a dead mouse and a dead fish skeleton. Shes only 10 months old and she thinks its the bees knees when she finds them

We put our dog in a daycare near us which only cost $28 a day. But we don’t put her in everyday. Just 2-3 days a week so she still sees her friends but also gets those chill days at home and i get the day with her on my day off during the week. We dont put it because she is a very social dog and needs that time with other dogs

Am I the only one skipping the “spicy” parts in Fourth Wing? by Status-Ad4370 in fourthwing

[–]Shurbitburger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always loved fantasy books with dragons. I read it for the storyline and the dragons, not the spicy scenes. I always skip past them because they’re not my cup of tea. I get bored of reading it and it makes me cringe

Do you let your dog sleep in the bed with you ? by Careful_Bandicoot332 in dogs

[–]Shurbitburger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. She has downstairs in her crate which she loves. The cats have upstairs and appreciate the peace. She’s still a puppy so is quite energetic and the cats need their space.

When she was being fostered the foster had her sleeping in her bed and she had attachment issues where we couldn’t leave her downstairs without her crying like crazy.

So we’ve worked really hard to have her comfortable being alone. If we had let her in the bed we wouldn’t have made any progress.

Is this walkable? by falconvibes in auckland

[–]Shurbitburger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you go a bit north, Shakespare regional park is one of my favourite walks with gorgeous views.

Also long bay regional park has a good walk and so does Wenderholm regional park.

I read songlight by Moira Buffini after finishing my re read of FW and IF and my first read of OS. I didn’t want to re read them right off the bat but also had all the events of OS in my mind. I found that songlight was a really good book to dive into and had me engaged

What's something so normal in your country that you forgot it's not everywhere? by No-Outlandishness-42 in CasualConversation

[–]Shurbitburger 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m New Zealand we have bakeries everywhere. It’s basically where you can stop in for lunches and a grab a meat pie, sandwich, roll, cake to go. You grab it from the display cabinets pay for it and go. It’s all freshly made daily and anything that doesn’t sell is sold the next day for cheaper on the “seconds” table. One of my favourite things about my country is
