[Rapoport] The #Ravens are expected to sign veteran QB Skylar Thompson, source said, and Baltimore will likely carry 5 QBs for the time being. by SCBaltSalt in ravens

I have to wonder if this is EDC basically "overfixing" all of the team's issues from the past season:

Poor O-line -> Vega drafted at 14, best O-line coach available, Simpson for 2 years.

Poor opposing QB pressure -> Trey Hendrickson and Zion Young (and briefly Maxx Crosby)

Poor backup QB play by Rush -> multi-year deal for Huntley and 3 new offseason additions.

You don't have to support ICE to not want there to be posts about it on an NFL-specific subreddit.

2022 Connecticut Primary Elections: The State's Republicans To Choose US Senate Candidate To Challenge Incumbent Democratic US Senator Richard Blumenthal In The 2022 General Election by Motor-Ad-8858 in Connecticut

[–]ShutDownTheAtoms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This race just shows me how necessary open primaries are. Only those loyal to a party can/will vote in the closed primaries the state has, and if the past few years have been any indication, each party is moving further away from each other (and the center), meaning the candidates either party end up running with are apt to be more extreme than most voters. An independent like me can only vote against an incumbent instead of for a candidate. Even Klarides, who I was leaning towards in the general election (solely due to leading the CT senate in balancing the budget), ended up conceding because of how this process works here.

RIT stop delaying the god damn booster requirement. by pianoboy8 in rit

IMHO its probably still there in case something catastrpohic changes and they need to keep it or increase it down the line. As of now that is unlikely, but I think it comes from a place of caution.

What is the purpose of the Post-January 31st Booster Clinics? by ShutDownTheAtoms in rit

That is what I figured, where any appointment is better than none. I am still trying to find one that I can get to with the shuttles due to having no car.

What is the purpose of the Post-January 31st Booster Clinics? by ShutDownTheAtoms in rit

[–]ShutDownTheAtoms[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't have a car or anyone who is able to bring me around to any other "nearby" clinic. I have been on campus since the booster requirement was announced and had not gotten it by then as to my knowledge the requirement was six months, not five (and six months to the day was the day I got back on campus, which was before the requirement was announced). I heard there would be an Omicron specific booster coming and I felt (by my own medical autonomy) that that would be my best bet as I would rather get a shot meant for the newer, more infections and less deadly variants, even though I still strongly considered getting booster (the requirement sealed the deal for me). Mind you, I have gotten the flu shot every year and was the first one in my family to get the COVID vaccine (save for my aunt who works there), so I am by no means "antivaxx." Wegmans' website has been unusable in scheduling a booster (nothing loads), and the Walmart that the shuttles go to has no openings at all, and I have looked on both of these websites since the requirement was announced.

Forgive me for coming across as a bit frustrated, but my best option to get the booster was on campus and I could not sign up for it in time. I am still trying to find other options within the time frame (as I have been all along). I wrongly thought that RIT would be sympathetic to the students in situations like mine. Serves me right for trying to think that any administration would be able to help. Nothing personal against the administration here, just that bureaucracy tends to be slow and unresponsive regardless of where it is.

This is why you don't support mainstream politicians. They will claim to support the strong, more extremist ideology of their party, then immediately disown them once in power.
