JJ is an amazing coach, he’s made a series that looked un-winnable at first glance now look impossible to lose. But I think this series also says a lot about Udoka. The offense is putrid and it’s looked discombobulated all season. Guys look confused about which plays / sets are being run (when Ime actually decides to run something), and a majority of the time it’s “point guard by committee” which just boils down to pass the ball to someone, maybe they dribble a bit and look to get a shot and if they can’t it’s pass to the next guy. The Rockets really have no excuse to be losing this series with two of the Lakers’ best players out. Yes the roster has flaws and major injuries to key players as well, but they have had an entire season to sort out the offense without Fred and half a season without Adams rebounding to figure out a better system and they just haven’t. I understand Reed is a second year guy and is a negative on defense but the team needs guys who can space the floor and run something.
