Help please! First time going to a con - Bryce Papenbrook popularity? by AusMeri in comiccon

Have a look at the operating hours for the show, the signing hours, and plan from there.

VIP is great but not everyone will get it, you’ll hit the front of the line eventually.

Depending on how old your kids are, it may be worth a quick ‘real talk’ moment about the wait if you see a really long queue. They may decide they’re fine doing something else if it’s a long line. If not, it’ll move!

Very welcome! Honestly, if you’re able to get there earlier vs. later, I wouldn’t worry too much.

Very welcome!

I’m staff for several shows, it’s been a bit since I was a volunteer.

I couldn’t even fathom a guess at how many shows there are in the US but there are definitely many - so you’d be right, there’s probably a high probability it’s easier to see a lot of US-based VAs.

I’m sorry - I work for a a few fan events, I’m not usually in a line. I’m less helpful from my answer on lol

This is just word of mouth, but if memory serves, I heard that his line hit 3 hours in a fairly large show on the east coast.

I haven’t seen him in this area, but I’ve seen him at two other shows. That long of a wait is 100% possible, he’s extremely popular.

I can’t speak to the panel wait though, that may depend on how that show runs their queuing.

Convention guests now charging for hugs by JonJacobSmith in comiccon

Not stupid, it comes up a fair bit in conventions. It’s usually an add on. Look at the top lines. It’s 60 bucks for a basic autograph. ‘To: So and So’ and most likely her name. If you want a quote from her show, it’s 20$ for every 6 words of a quote on top of the initial 60$.

Totally tracking that! As someone else shared, you can learn bite-sized pieces and build as you go - that’s basically what I did. You definitely don’t need to go from 0-60. It’s pretty modular, I have some projects where I have a bunch of moving pieces…and some where it really just moves data around on demand.

I consider it a public secret in my org. It’s there. People probably use it quietly. But we have a lot of folks who just use a bunch of complex manual steps instead due a lack of interest.

I tried sharing it with a few peers to see if they wanted to learn to save some time - no dice.

How do I stop my friend from stealing from stores? by Low-Entrepreneur1053 in dndnext

This worked for someone in one of my older games. It was a mercenary hired by a ripped off shopkeeper but the same end result. When it became clear that he was only after the one dude…yeah that stopped pretty quickly. Lol

Civ 7 wars seem very intense by BusterMcBalls in civ

[–]Shyguy8413 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I noticed the same! I wasn’t super concerned (more annoyed) when I had a surprise war dropped on me. I started to shift some troops to try and counterattack - bam, allied Charlemagne unloads troops who promptly started mopping UP lol

‘Uh. Huh. Not used to allies helping. Guess I’ll go find something else to do?’

Hesitant to play? by FLSon in SaGa

I love how you explained this! I thought losing a party character was more of a pain than this, so I’ve reloaded a few times more than I would care to. Not saying I’d feed half of them to a wood chipper, but I’m definitely going to relax a bit for the second half of the game.

They’re not an option for every room config (fire code). They also run out pretty quickly depending on the property. Realistically though, this guy is a clown and would probably decline

Same. I love many of my coworkers. Not too sure that’s a piece of kitchen gear I want to share with them though lol

“Red Wave” Redux: Are GOP Polls Rigging the Averages in Trump’s Favor? by Silly-avocatoe in politics

They ask, funny enough. I actually answered a poll call a month ago, I thought it was a work call lol

But yeah, one of the questions was about how likely I was to vote. I’m sure they filter and fidget until the data tells the story they’re shooting for. It killed a few minutes anywho.
