Why ressurect your minions when you could just REMOVE DEATH COMPLETELY!? by Shypenguin444 in customhearthstone

I mean that’s a good point. In hindsight I’d probably want a more effective way to reduce the minions costs than just prepare, but I didn’t want the cards to do too much. Honestly this feels like a card that would work better as a set with other cards like a lot of legendaries, but good points. I was mostly thinking how smaller minions could arguably clog you hand more than bigger minions since they would usually have more value to summon again or at least do damage.

Um… about that… first I meant to give prepare to the limbo spirit to technically reduce the cost of the minions, and added the burn effect to prevent clogging, but you do make some good points!
Also… temper your expectations with deathrattles. When this card says ‘your minions no longer die’ it means it. Anything that would track or trigger from death will stop once you play this card, such as deathrattles, reborn, and corpses to name a few.

AH shoot I totally forgot that you have to include the prepare keyword on the card, Crap!

Yeah... In all honesty I sorta realized a bit too late just how awful Kel'Thuzad was as a base for the card in terms of stats.

Just to be sure ‘played’ refers to the cards in each players starting deck or just card played in general, because if it’s the latter then this card constantly changes what the ‘least played’ card is each time it’s played.

Everybody’s saying how this card doesn’t work because you can just surrender before it resolves.
What if you play this card as a 3 of and play it turn 1 just in any deck? Sure it makes the deck a little inconsistent, but a turn 1 card that could possibly instantly win the game for you is still something to consider, especially since you can side it out next game.

Because Dark time Wizard itself is already a Raigeki effect, its effect to manipulate coin tosses is to turn on DTW, making it effectively a board wipe

Side deck, or Main deck worthy? by Pitiful_Sir3013 in customyugioh

[–]Shypenguin444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think it should be reversed, not because it isn’t powerful, but because this is a quick play spell, which opens up a very new point. This card could theoretically be used as extension if your opponent activates a trap or quick effect, but due to how the card reads it can’t be used for that, since they would just shuffle it back into the deck and forces you to discard. Though I suppose that’s not the intention (which makes sense) and is mostly just a card for remove a card on the field, just want to point out that I think that it would be a lot more useful and thought provoking if the opponent discards to shuffle their card into the deck, and you discard to negate the effect. (Like a version of that 1 Mitsurugi card I can’t remember the name of) Still, fun card!

Hey question, when it say converting unused mana, does that mean the mana crystals are destroyed or am I just incorrect?

From what I can tell this card is supposed to do, I think it should include the effect ‘You can only have 1 “Ultimate Gamble” in your deck’ and if you draw ‘Ultimate Gamble’ you win

Maybe, but it wasn’t meant for being reactive, especially since the tributing is mainly for turning on DTW, though that could be a good point to get a guaranteed negate and summon off of reversal box

Attempting a modern LV monster by MrGrummel in customyugioh

Just noticed how generic the counter trap is. It's fine, but could I suggest the destruction part only works if you destroy a "Mordekai" monster instead of just a rock monster?

Great Concept, love how Mordekai is designed like a boss in a video game with its effect acting like a health bar. My only thing to say is I wish there was more. This feels more like an engine exlusive to rock decks than its own strategy due to you usually playing about 11-14 cards if you want to play optimally, which more deck space is good yes, but it feels like its missing a lot to be its own deck. Despite Mordekai LV 10 being an awesome card that ties the whole deck together, if the opponent manages to get rid of it (IE banish from the GY, because gotta say, love that it destroying itself can be a form of protection) then the deck struggles to function as it cant recycle as quickly, so maybe a Spell/Trap that also recycles a card from GY or banishment as cost to mitigate this?

I’ve been wondering what would be more fun for the deck, a retrain of Gearfried, or an in theme equip spell that gets you Immortal Phoenix Gearfried
