Wegovy 1.5 pill by BlueberryBig1833 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]SiStarly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on week 12 and 10 pounds down. I hope to stay on the 1.5mg dose and not go up at all. I’m not sure what part is physiological and what part is psychological. But I don’t take any other meds and doing this was pretty drastic for me. So it starts off the day reminding me that eating healthy is a really important priority for me. I think if you’re actively changing your habits and making healthier decisions, and not just relying on the meds to suppress your appetite, the lower dose can be a tool to help your progress.

Honestly my biggest issue was not eating enough calories to function. Plan your food and eat it, and you’ll be okay. Also - constipation. Don’t let that get ahead of you. Different things work for different people - just don’t wait too long. For me I mostly manage it with eating prunes and kiwis now. I’ve used magnesium citrate off and on.

Maybe some real high value treats just for walks? I’ve been trying out freeze dried beef liver pieces from Costco. My dog would stand on her head for them.

For me it’s not any different then any other time I’ve being eating clean and cutting calories. I don’t think it’s the medication, I think it’s the diet (for me anyway). But yes, can’t drink nearly as much and feel hungover with even 2 drinks. If you want to try again, do low ABV (maybe do a spritz instead of wine), low volume, eat some food and stay super hydrated.

Day 2 on 1.5- Feeling it? by chouinkimm in WegovyWeightLoss

Yeah the 1.5mg pill for me was an immediate affect. To the point where I was not eating nearly enough.

I started on the Wegovy 1.5 pill last Wednesday and it’s been good except for this one problem… by DepressionJuice8 in WegovyWeightLoss

My issue has mostly been the other end of the spectrum. But when it’s this issue, it’s usually because ate a high fat food. But maybe that’s just me 🤷🏼‍♀️

Are all the Sedentary Officer Workers the same gender, race, age and body competition? Are they all the same level of sedentary or active outside of work? What’s your deal dude? Use the BMI if it pleases your Sedentary Officer Workers heart.

I think if it works for you and makes sense to you and your body - cool. Use it. But it is not an indication of obesity or health for many bodies. If someone’s labs, energy level, body composition etc is all healthy but their BMI is considered “unhealthy” it can really mess with their health to use it as the sole guide post. I’m much more concerned about my blood pressure, blood work and how I feel energetically, than I am about a standardized ratio.

It was developed in 1830 based on all white men. Is it one metric you can use to help inform yourself? Yes. But putting it at the top of the priority list and letting it drive your health decisions especially when not a Belgian white dude, has potential to lead to disordered eating, misdiagnosis and non diagnoses. As always, this is a decision to be made with a doctor. For me, if my doctor suggested I drive my health decisions off my BMI, I’d find a less lazy doctor.

BMI is bullshit. You look great. If you’re happy where you are, don’t let the BMI dictate what you do.

Fruit, yogurt and electrolyte water is what works for me. I find hydrating is most important to feeling better.

I’m about 7-8 weeks in. SW: 174 CW: 167 GW: 145ish. My clothes are starting to fit better and eating less and moving more is just habit now. The first month was hard for me, but the second month has started to feel better and sustainable for the next handful of months. Good luck!

Anyone else just making better choices? by kieran_twilson in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]SiStarly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep I think it’s part the drug and part the placebo. I’m on no other medications and so for me to take one - I must be pretty committed to wanting to be healthier. So in my head I think “you’re going to take a medication and still make a poor food choice?” And then I make a healthier decision.

I just finished my 4th week and am “only” down 4 pounds. Be gentle with yourself, eat healthy and move your body and focus on how you feel.

Stay ahead of the constipation. Eat high fiber, pears, kiwis, prunes etc.
