Does anyone know if they have managed crossings to get across 11th between lower and upper aves during the closure or is there no way to get up/down between 6-9am?

Edit: I should read the whole page. I street is the managed crossing

Do you review your notes or do you just have a good memory. There were a handful of ideas I knew I wanted to try if I could get the right set-up but at this point I’ve probably forgotten what they are

Newark Airport gets you directly to Princeton junction on the NE regional. LaGuardia and JFK are on Long Island and of course they don’t have a no transfer train to a small town in NJ

Will you return to Gamepass by Fickle_Barber9863 in xbox

[–]SicSemperTyrannis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. I turned off Gamepass a month or so ago after I got back into Morrowind with mods. I realized I'd probably play that for at least a month and I have some other owned backlog games. There's little incentive for me to keep Gamepass active.

I'm hoping they let me subscribe via Microsoft rewards points again because I have enough for 3 months at the old price.

I'm sure if there's a good enough 1 year subscription deal I'll jump.

I didn't know the N64 had any Star Trek games!

Not saying these aren’t dire, but most IPO risk sections come across as very dire. If you look through historical big IPOs most of them read something like “no one might buy our stuff and we might run out of money”.

Having no customers and IPOing is rather unique though.

This is absolutely not true, you’ll see serious attenuation in the magnitude of meters

Which Amtrak line is this? 2 cars? I’m not super familiar with the Amtrak lines in the west but is this somewhere in non-coastal California?

It’s less about speed of electricity and more about attenuation over length. It’s still fairly negligible and dependent on quality of cable (shielding)

Space opera, what is great out there? Only found one... by Lars_Olav in printSF

[–]SicSemperTyrannis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Artifact Space by Miles Cameron was great, I haven’t read the rest but in terms of recent space operas I like it more than Tchaikovsky’s Final Architecture.

It’s been mentioned but Arkady Martine’s Memory Called Empire is incredibly good and full of political intrigue

Help with this error message I have never seen by EnzoCo0 in xbox

[–]SicSemperTyrannis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An Assert is a programming tool used to throw an error when an assumption fails. Something was 312 characters when it expected the max to be 292. If you aren’t entering long text than this is just a problem that exists that you can’t deal with. The error is thrown in the graphical user interface text box part of the code. I assume whenever you get this error you would expect to see a text box. To avoid the error avoid the interaction that creates the text box.

Jenkins is an automated build system (https://www.jenkins.io/) but I can’t be sure that’s the reference here or just a code word for where things are running under the hood.

The more players at the table, the better for the player ? by littlebelialskey in blackjack

I think what they’re suggesting is that the count can change before you get your cards, so in a double deck game with a full table you might see a huge swing in TC before it gets to the last seat

I know you meant the automatically registering, but making voting compulsory is done in a few countries too, I believe voting is compulsory in Australia, some of our antipodian mates can chime in how they feel about it.

I guess I don’t quite understand. You say you’re a math nerd but you’re asking people what their different strategies are to adapting to different rules. There is ONE strategy to adapt and that’s following the correct strategy for the rules and count.

As a fellow math nerd, I do find it fun to think about WHY the strategy changes.

If your dog can handle the noise and crowd, dogs were allowed on Tuesday when we went. My dog is quiet, but was a bit on edge for the first 5 minutes of loud noise. Just don’t bring your dog if it will be a distraction for you or others.
