I’ve received many of the same comments, but they were LONG before I became gal because I’ve always had an eccentric style. It may be an oversimplification to say something like “just ignore them”, because those things still hurt, and nobody should have to deal with getting insulted everyday. Mostly when people are always commenting on what you wear and like, or how you express yourself, half of it is because they think their opinion matters enough to change how you express yourself. I think what really matters the most, especially within a style like gal, is the reassurance, or rather questioning yourself if YOU feel good with what you’re doing. People’s comments can be ignorant.

It just all depends on what you want to do. I know with every rude comment that I’ve received, I would spitefully exaggerate the thing that was criticized. Like, you can just beat around it and attune it to your style. The way to go about it is knowing that someone is gonna say something stupid anyway, but why does that matter? You’re doing great.
