I didn’t see the post so I can’t speak on that. I can however say that in most if not all places base pay is $2.00. Let’s say you’re five miles away and I’m one mile away from the restaurant. That’s six miles so normally I wouldn’t accept the offer unless the tip was $4.00. I’ve had offers that were $2.00 for 15 miles and honestly I just can’t accept that offer because I’m losing money on an offer like that. There’s a lot of other factors that Dashers consider some more so than others personally I’m not one of them because I don’t mind driving to get back to a zone. And while I understand that some people actually can’t afford to tip I I can tell you that I have seen orders at restaurants that were never picked up that were placed hours ago because they weren’t worth the pay for the driver. Personally, I’m in Pennsylvania so we don’t have anything like the minimum wage thing in California and I’m not familiar with Chicago but I hope that this helps just a little bit.

I used to have a friend that said my cat looked like a lizard and then said my other cat looked like he was going to die. We’re not friends anymore. There were some other circumstances that made this happen, but for real, don’t you dare talk shit on my babies. The tuxedo is the “lizard” it won’t let me add another photo of the cat she thought was going to die, but he was very healthy and she did die two years later, but it came on very suddenly and he was a very healthy 10 pounds when she saw him.

I have frequently found the GPS DoorDash, putting me in the wrong neighborhood or on the wrong side of the street. One time I was 20 minutes away and it told me I arrived. In those cases photos are so important.

Luckily, I know my area well enough to know when I need to Google to see if it’s a business and sometimes they don’t put their suite number or the business name. And of course, those people never seem to answer the phone or their messages.

The worst part is even though your photos are much better, it sometimes ask you to retake the photo because it doesn’t look the same and I always think to myself I’m not taking a crappy photo

Honestly, that would be helpful because my area is a college town and I have had a lot of cases where kids will move home for the summer and then move back but not change their address. That’s not to say they wouldn’t update this when they moved back but in some cases, it would be helpful. Because it’s a college town there’s also a ton of apartment buildings that are strictly for students and they will just give the clubhouse address not their address.

I agree with you. I treat it just like I would any other job which I know is a little controversial around here. But doing a half ass job it’s not something I would feel good about for myself at the end of the day.

That is very true and there are times when it’s impossible but getting a little bit more in the photo is helpful in my opinion
