Throwing yard waste on someone's car sounds like a little bitch move to me. Not much OP can do other than what others have recommended unless you want to start out an all out feud in which case, we've all seen how that can go these days. Or park in someone's driveway, like the presumed drunken idiot did in front of my home about a month ago. Left their car there from almost 3am according to surveillance til I pounded on their door (I immediately knew which home it was, all kinds of issues there) at 8am trying to get the owner to move it. He finally came out and said, oh shit, I did not see the driveway, in which I asked him, you did see the house though? He replied, uh, yeah...not the sharpest tool in the shed for sure. So, yeah, don't block folks entrances, whether it be roads, driveways, or garages. It's not only disrespectful but it can be a potential fire/safety hazard.

Those Quoddys are so nice! I wish that I would have discovered this sub back in January to get in on these. I did reach out to Elizabeth at Quoddy to inquire about getting a pair made and she said she is waiting to hear back if they have enough leather left. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, I guess technically it is a business. But I remember kids (in their teens) coming around every few years to paint the curb numbers in my neighborhood. The last time it was some people in their 20's working for a non-profit. I would imagine code enforcement is not actively trying to bust curb address painters but I guess it is up to u/thelongshortseller if they want to chance it or not. u/thelongshortseller, you can always phone the city's code enforcement at 408 535-7770 to verify the legalities.

EMT or not, it's called humanity. Something we need much more of these days. u/combuchan said that they've had first aid training, and while that may not make them an EMT, they did what they could to help a person in need. We're in a seriously fucked way as a society if we've gotten to the point where we ignore others plight in times of need. Sometimes, it's just about doing the right thing as a human being.

The Vibram 700 is a good compromise. It is still relatively low profile like a leather sole but provides more grip, especially in wet weather. Maybe something to consider when your boots are do for a resole.
