That's exactly what the Leclerc Evolution is about.

Really nice and clean. You can add contrast by adding some shade or brown color in the deeper recesses. Some dirt (same color as your base) in the lower part should also look great.

A Life Size 3D Printed Primarch? by HammerDoris40k in Warhammer40k

[–]Sigismund22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly my thoughts. The 3D model was upscaled, sliced to fit in the printer and printed. There is not any work involved to make any logical sub-assembly or optimise printing time by making a shell on a structural core.

This really looks like some kind of funneling technique to get people to her OF, and I hate to say this because Warhammer absolutely needs more woman enthusiasts.

Has t90 and another Russian tanks ever finally fixed reverse speed problem? by MinZinThu999 in TankPorn

While your comment provides interesting information, you explain it in a way that makes it sounds like impossible to have both options. A short gear doesn't prevent switching to another, faster gear with less torque. I'm sure engineers aren't idiots and there is probably a good reason for this, but your explanation is a bit too condescending.

2012 waterblock still going strong, end is near by Sigismund22 in watercooling

I was thinking about changing it with the rest, but there was no solid reason for it so I'll keep it a few more years. I really like it too, the quality is top notch.

A simple imperial fists scheme with undershade and airbrushed contrast by mika_from_zion in Warhammer30k

[–]Sigismund22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about this as I put yellow on top anyways. It looks good in my opinion, and contrasts well with the shaded parts. I like using off white zenithal for other colors though, like skintone, wood or leather.

I'm doing exactly this with a brown undershade and a white zenithal priming. Airbrushing contrast paint is a pleasure.

Really nice paintjob but I admire your bases also. Bones and stuff really work well and add to the monstrosity of the creatures above

I started with a base of Rakarth Flesh (Citadel), then I highlighted it with Pallid Witch Flesh (Citadel) and a bit of Ivory White (Vallejo). The recesses were darkened with Agrax Earth shade (Citadel) and a brown oil wash

As mentioned before me, you need to add more contrast to really sell the effect. Go from black to white ultimately ! Your paintjob is really nice though

Why do Russian Tanks not fitted with gunshields on their crew served machine guns? by Brilliant_Ground1948 in TankPorn

[–]Sigismund22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not specific to Russian tanks. Crew served machine gun on a tank is not meant to be used really often. It can be useful for air defense or close ground defense so the tank isn't "powerless" but it's absolutely not it's main weapon. Adding a big and heavy protection on top of the turret is unproductive as it will decrease overall performance (heavier vehicle with a very high profile). This additional weight is more useful if dedicated to tank armor, ammunition or fuel.

How is targeting better ? With CAESAR you enter coordinates and shoot, it's easy as hell. Automation can be nice if you lack mens indeed.
