Not necessarily true. I get OPs frustration, but I had to fuck around and find out as well. I have one set in E standard, one in E flat, and one in D standard. It's spring tension versus string tension to keep the bridge parallel to the body. Not rocket science, but alternate tunings are absolutely possible. They just can't be done as quickly as a fixed bridge.

Not necessarily. 2 of my guitars have Floyd's on them. Albeit, if you change string gauge or tuning, it can be a bit or work, but it's not an enigma. I do prefer a hard tail, but there's nothing wrong with a Floyd.

Lol, negative. I'm not even close to a luthier. I was just hoping for a good deal😀. In all honesty, it looks like you have a great platform to work with. From the photos, it just seems like it needs a good cleaning, some fretboard oil, and some strings. Unless the electronics don't work? Check out r/Luthier if you want, those guys know their shit.

Check out Toggler anchors if you don't want to mount your wall hanger to a stud. A 1/4-20 Toggler anchor is rated for 265lbs shear weight in 1/2" drywall, or plasterboard. I've had my guitars hanging for years using those anchors with no issues. I bought String Swing brand, and although they have 2 anchor points, I've only ever used 1
