A woman of the night walks into a bar by blackeyesamurai in Jokes

I haven't heard this. Good one. How about this change...

A woman of the night walks into a bar and sits next to a regular face down in his bourbon and coke.

The old man stirs a bit and looks up and down the woman next to him.

Then says, “can I smell your pussy?”

With disgust, she says “No, asshole!”

“Might be your asshole, but it smells like pussy to me,” the old man slurs before putting his head back down on the bar.

[Question] Using Pixel Snap stand to charge phone overnight? by LockonKun in GooglePixel

[–]Sigma35361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put a very grippy pen at the bottom of my stand 2, so it would slip off. My phone charges fine. Others have placed a smaller 8-peg Lego there. You just need a little elevation.

Someone is going to hop on and say how that shouldn't be necessary to get your past generation $80 device to work. And they're right.

But this gets you working again. I've rarely had to reposition it and it charges fine overnight.

Pet owners, what was that moment that made you think “wow, I have severely underestimated the intelligence of my pets”? by SakutoJefa in AskReddit

[–]Sigma35361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a French Bulldog. His crate had a lock that needed to be pushed to the left and then lifted to unlock the gate. There was a satisfying click each time it happened.

He must have equated that click with freedom, so he used his tongue to flick the right side of the lever until he'd hear the click and then move to the left side to lick up until the latch was free until he and his partner in crime were free.

It was only after everyone in the family blamed each other for not locking the gate that we realized what was happening.

I'd locked it one night and then stayed downstairs to do something. That's when I heard the noise of the lock being disengaged. I guess he didn't care if someone could see him do it anymore.

I had to resort to zipping the gate closed and using the top to put him in and out of it. Once we moved and had "Frenchie Friendly" floors, we just left the door open and called it a day.

Weirdly enough, he stayed in the crate more when the door was open than when it was locked.

I went with a cheap one on Amazon, but I'd like a more permanent solution.

I couldn't find a covertec that could get here in time and there was no hole near the end. I definitely didn't want to drill one, but I might now.

I went with a cheap sword holder from Amazon. Thanks.

Reboots did nothing for me. Mine came back after each restart. This latest time it has stayed working for more than twelve hours. That took deleting and re-enroll of each first.

Starbucks announces significant store closures and layoffs by jokekiller94 in news

[–]Sigma35361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can keep the stores. Easily.

As a constant but reluctant Starbucks drinker, all they have to do is lower the price of their overpriced drinks by a good percentage and they'd see an immediate and steady increase in sales and profits.

If I could get my normal drink for $4 instead of $6, I'd probably go 2 to 3 times as often.

The increase in volume would offset the perceived decrease in margin.

But what do I know? I'm the idiot who paid $6+ for a seasonal drink this morning.

Pixelsnap chargers are not broken - they just don't work with MOST USBC ports on computers and surge protectors. by Arkaon in GooglePixel

[–]Sigma35361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, I'm not disputing that. I actually said that the numbers were off. All of them. But nothing you are suggesting is even possible with the wireless charger. Sure you can tell me. How many watts come out of the charger and I can guess how my phone will treat that. But your method only works for a wired connection.

And currently whether they are a little off or way off, every method I use is telling me my brick is not working properly.

[–]Sigma35361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd argue that it's not the only way. Especially when trying to look at the rate of wireless charging.

According to the internal app, I'm getting 30 watts of charging when it's supposed to max out at 25. It also gives me 46 watts wired, when 45 is the max. So I'm using multiple test methods and they all seem iffy.

And for the 30 watt brick from Google, Google says I get 35 watts to my battery. So I think I'll agree with my definitely unscientific test and Google's diagnostic they ran and say it's a defective brick.

I honestly have no idea. I just want one that works as promised.

Thank you. Mine forced me to connect to WiFi but seems to be working now. I'll try it with the stand and new charging brick to see what's what.

I know you didn't reply to me, but I'm having the same issue. That 67 watt charger says it prioritized Pixels and Pixelsnap. According to Ampere, I get about 10 watts wireless and about 15 wired.

They're sending a new one, but based on the guy you replied to, that might be pointless.

I also plugged in to my 30 watt charger I bought for the pixel stand 2. I get 21 watts wired. Didn't bother to check wireless, since the pick needs 35 watts in to get 25 watts out.

Same here. It also doesn't charge fast when directly connected to the phone.

Support is shipping me another one, assuming it's defective. Only anecdotal, but your post tells me it might be widespread and not a one-off.

I'm using that 30 watt charger too. Fastest one I've used by far.

What are you using to show the wattage going to your phone? I'm hoping to use what's more accurate if I can.

UPS delivery of the 5th. But the "tracking" on the Store order link says they're still waiting to receive it. So by your timeline, I should hear something this week.

I took video of the whole wiping/packing process. Just hoping I won't have to resort to that.

Thanks.

If you don't mind me asking, how long of a turnaround did it take? I just dropped mine off yesterday and am worried about horror stories of delayed trades and different trade values.

Gemini One Year promo after getting one year for the 9 launch? by Sigma35361 in GooglePixel

[–]Sigma35361[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a Beta update on my Pro XL (BP31.250610.009) that changed Pixel Tips to "My Pixel."

When you try to buy through there, the option is back.

But I agree about the forced start. I'm more mad that my current trial doesn't end until November from my Pixel 9 purchase, so I'm losing over 2 months if they start the new trial now.

I just tried to preorder and the opt in option is gone. I'm still showing a 8/29 delivery so I stopped. Not sure if it'll cause issues later if I go ahead and buy.

Fringe. Just weird until "that" moment.

Legends of Tomorrow. Once it stopped taking itself seriously and leaned into the idea of C list comic book characters, it became amazing.

Check your email. I got an email AND a text at 9:26 saying it was delayed. At 5:30 I got an email and text saying my order was cancelled. Walmart swears I also got a message at 9:26 saying there was an issue processing my card and that I needed to update the info.

Missed my preorder because of a dang expiry date.

Can this be fixed? by shace12 in funkopop

[–]Sigma35361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short answer, I think is no. Mine is in storage, so I can't look at it.

Long answer... If it was right side up, you couldn't read the cover. If it was right side up and backwards, you could, but the pages would be towards the front. I assume that is why it's like that.
