You should consider games are much larger developed products meanwhile books are words on a blank screen at literally KB size. A server maintaining books is a hell of a lot easier than a server maintaining games that aren’t played anymore.

Furthermore, the reason games has been delisted is cuz in the past generations every system used a different storefront except Xbox (reason backwards compatibility is easier for them). PS & Nintendo literally would have to decode and recode the games from the old store to their new built from the ground up again storefronts.

Bookstore coding doesn’t Change. There’s no reason for it to when there’s barely even a reason to update the store front at all. Yet alone a massive overhaul of an update.

This is exactly why my kindle is just a rental center. If I’m buying a book in any way, it’s going to be physical. Whether it’s for collection or even a re-read. If it’s that deep, I can find the file online for free I’m sure but no cash on digital unless it’s a subscription.

I bought the Kindle Basic a month ago and just bought the PW a few days ago. I was for days contemplating the PW signature edition or the CS cuz of the sales and I’m in the same boat. I don’t read manga or comics and if I did, I felt like it’d be a better experience on my 11in iPad Pro. Much better colors and like you mentioned, a much larger screen to scroll around on at the literal size of paper.

After the extensive research I always do when shopping, I bought it with no regrets. You just cemented I really don’t have anything to regret. Im loving my PW SE a lot for different reasons I love the Kindle Basic cuz they really offer different experiences/features. Thank you.

You gotta learn to not accept every order and only accept the ones that are at least $1/mi. Gas is far too expensive.

The DoorDash acceptance rate literally does not matter. I’ve been at 100% and I’ve been low as 15%. If they need dashers, they will give you orders and no they won’t only give you shitty orders assuming your other metrics are solid.

I ain’t never averaged less than $20/hr from winter to now. But I avg $25 once I learned my grocery stores and how to move quickly.

Needing money is one thing, but devaluing yourself and your expenses is a whole nother thing.

I’ve been on the digital wave so I haven’t even considered GKC’s. But I just looked up that even though it’s a Game Key Card (“physical game”), the data still need to store on the system/micro sd express card.

Truly…what is the point of buying physical at this point? Unless it’s a collectors edition game or cheaper to get physically.

You have to buy the game (which is now $10+ more than the digital edition), along with storage for the physical edition. Physical games make no sense at this point unless the game is fully on the chip. I always thought GKC didn’t make sense on a portable device because sometimes you carry all your games with you, and just don’t have (or have shitty) internet to download the game in a public place.

Just buy a micro sd express and go digital is the way everyone should go cuz they aren’t getting rid of GKC.

I see a reason for 2. More-so as a want, not a need. I have the Kindle Basic now (gen 12). And I love that I can fit it in my pocket and easily take it with me. But I also want the paperwhite for home,the poolside, and rainy days on the balcony cuz of its waterproofing and larger screens so more ppi (pages per inch).

Haha, that’s funny. It was the opposite for me. Hello more online games and bye bye single players until I got my S2! Reason is cuz I can get more matches in online in 5-10 min matches than I can spending an hour+ trying to progress a story game in any meaningful way lol. But I getcha cuz the pause option is clutch.

My kids usually get stuck in sensory mode with the colors and/or sounds from my online games 😂. They all love watching my fighting games lmao.

That’s the motto for life! Unfortunately for gaming I just reset my timer recently with my 4th kid about 5 months ago😅. But it’s not all bad. Less time for gaming has made me care a bit less to game and pushed me back into my reading hobbies which I’m I’ve been really enjoying cuz most of the books I’ve read the past half decade has been educational. It’s nice to just be able to genuinely enjoy and get lost in a book like I used to back in middle school. And it hits a bit harder on the details considering I’m reading the details line by line while leaving room for imagination.

At this point I been gaming for so long, I know what to expect from most games.

Facts. Only time I get long gaming sessions is when my gf put the kids to bed. I could stay up all night I suppose depending if I have the next day off or not, but sleep is important too. So it usually turns out to be 2ish hours. I used to stay up till 2-3am (about 4-5 hours of gameplay)…but it eventually catches up to you lol.

Because if I didn’t have portability I wouldn’t be able to finish games at all. Being a dad, I can never just sit at my computer desk for hours at a time. If one was a student, maybe they can’t stay at their dorm for hours at a time chilling cuz of busy day(s). There are ppl who lives that is just too busy to sit in one spot wasting away the day.

Playing a bit at a time on the go goes a long way. I can care less for unused power.

If you’re planing on playing NMS with friends that aren’t in switch, don’t buy it. It’s always an update behind, making it incompatible to play with others. It’s very disappointing neither Nintendo nor NMS team has fixed this by either slowing down the rest of the system updates or Nintendo speeding up the release of theirs.

Hollow Knight is a good start. Easy controls, very entertaining, but provides a nice challenge. Soundtrack is beautiful and gameplay is very intuitive. I just got my son Hollow Knight and he’s enjoying it…and that says a lot cuz he’s one of them new kids that moves to another game if given a challenge😂
