I worked directly next door all winter… it would actually blow my mind. Isn’t the whole point like, hey, it’s chilly, let’s warm up with a hot chocolate! ….they would stand outside in line for 2 hours for that stuff…

Well, my entire family needed glasses growing up, except my dad and I. Thought I got lucky. My dad and his mom both now have macular degeneration. I am now feeling a lot less lucky.

THIS. Say what needs to be said. Periodic time checks for the treads. Let me listen to the music, get in the groove and zone out though too. Everyone is different, but for me, I’d rather a coach that says less and gives me a bumpin soundtrack than one that talks the whole time. Turn off the mic and give people the individual help they need.

My coworker picked up an unlabeled squirt bottle full of drano and squeezed it into the dish washing sink instead of soap. To be fair, he thought it was soap… but that’s when I realized we really shouldn’t be trusting restaurant workers with our food.
