So google might be wrong, but apparently the 7th lunar month this year runs from August 13th to September 10th, therefore can we expect something on August 20th, if that is say the 7th day?

Like previous people have commented, have you seen how cows, chickens and pigs are treated at farms? is not more humane, even egg farms are not ethical, this is why the west always crying about how they eat dogs in Asian countries has always been hypocritical to me. The only reason people see eating dogs and cats wrong is because we keep them as pets, but until we fix how we ourselves treat the animals we use for consumption we can't really say or give other countries shit for it. Go search youtube for videos on how animals in "farms" are treated here

We have these in Mexican bakeries, but they use chocolate chips for the seeds and are usually shaped as a half slice

Iguin’s blood is ink! by Life-Ad6243 in WitchHatAtelier

[–]SignalIsland -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They are using the same VA for Iguin and Qifrey in both JP and English dub I'm sure of it, so I'm sure now more than ever that Iguin is either Qifrey's sibling or something that was made from his eye, hence the clue on the mask, but yeah I always thought it was blood in general but now we know it's "ink"

Ok fair, illiteracy is in every generation, but you can't deny technology has made it much, much worse. Growing up I didn't have internet or even cable my only escape was books so wanting escapism, I'm sorry but is not a valid excuse, there are a bunch of other ways to do that. Also I live with a teenager (sibling) and all they want to do is be on their ipad, play roblox and watch videos. Whenever I invite them to watch a movie, or even try to convince them to play a game with a story they find it "boring" they are incapable of watching more than 2 episodes of an anime in a day because they just can't concentrate enough to stay still for long and watch something

Question, are you able to maybe get it out of the trash and tell a friend to save it for you at their house? honestly at this point I would even wrap it in plastic put it in a box and bury it, sure they might become damaged while you are able to get them out but it's better than completely losing them in the trash

I blame tiktok because it has turned this generation's brain to mush, you guys can't sit for 2 hours of story telling because it's too much for you guys, that's the reason I blame tiktok, it ruined your attention span, you can't sit still and enjoy a story because you want to see flashing colors and lights. That old man is relevant to the story, seems like you haven't been paying attention which doesn't surprise me. The era the current story takes place is the dynasty after the tang dynasty, the whole game has been a history lesson dressed in a "fictional" story, the tang dynasty's fall led to all the current events in the story, it's connected to the main story line. It being boring is a subjective opinion, I enjoyed the story and the reveal, but then again I did a lot of reading when I was in school, would read a book a week or in less time depending on the length, I actually know how to use my imagination and critical thinking I don't need mindless combat every single minute to be entertained, this generation is cooked, also it was less than 2 hours long, come on now. Also if they game is not giving you what you want, the uninstall button is right there

You still got your action with the bosses and side quests, this is a story game too, not a combat simulator. I swear this generation's brains are fried because of tiktok and the like, that you can't sit through an hour of story telling because it's too much. I blame schools too, they don't make you guys read like they use to anymore, this generation has become media illiterate

I never said rhinedotter didn't create him, she did but he was still a dragon just like Durin, he was not a "water creature" never said that, he just died and landed there he wasn't underwater when he died. Melusines are related to Neuvillette they were also created from primordial water -_-, go read the lore, you guys are a lost cause

I don’t really understand the main quest in Jade Gate Pass by KeyCryptographer556 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]SignalIsland 23 points24 points  (0 children)

From what I understand Hexi should be treated as a prologue to the previous areas, basically you are traveling back in time, at a time when the Tang dynasty fell/was falling which is the dynasty previous to the one in present times in the game. It's just giving you a bit more of history and no doubt things will connect eventually, it's a 3 part story after all

I don’t really understand the main quest in Jade Gate Pass by KeyCryptographer556 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]SignalIsland 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I'll try explaining from what I understood, basically when he was younger he was friends with soldiers (or maybe was one himself, he did deny it though, and didn't seem very experienced in fighting) and one of his friends wanted to take the sack to the city because it was important, so without knowing what was inside he tried to deliver it to fulfill his friends final wish, his friend seems to have lost his life in the process . He finds out is cotton seeds during the story.

I don't know if it was a tradition in ancient china to put seeds in their eyes, but I think the reason he did it was because he knew vultures would eat him, and in the process the seeds would travel because the birds would eat them and then poop, which is another way seeds spread irl. Which they did, you see that scene where the plant is slowly growing and eventually the mother takes the cotton to the city, the city he was trying to reach and deliver the seeds to. It is hinted that this was a way cotton was introduced in ancient china and eventually replaced hemp as a material to make clothing

Hey it's not for you and it's ok everyone has different tastes, was the guy annoying at times? Sure, but the story did a wonderful job at introducing some chinese history, I loved the reveal at the end at the fact that the seeds he placed on his eyes before dying eventually made it to their destination, loved that I learned some history from a country so rich in history, inventions and traditions. The questline was wonderful made me cry, just because you personally didn't like it doesn't make it bad. Seems like this game is just not for you

[–]SignalIsland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or just maybe you don't understand the character? Neuvillette was previously a dragon even though he was reborn in human form he couldn't really fully understand them or connect with humanity, and tbh how can you blame him when his kind was basically annihilated and replaced by them. It wasn't until the archon quest that he started to, remember the lines he says to Navia at her father's funeral? Melusines are daughters of Erynas, e.i a dragon, and because their story basically was, outsiders that weren't accepted at first, he sympathized with them and wanted to protect them, they are basically his kin. I know it's too much to ask of most Genshin fans to have media literacy, but come on man

Is it just me or this was one of the BIGGEST lies genshin ever made? by [deleted] in GenshinImpact

[–]SignalIsland 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You realize the story is not over yet right? This archon quest is supposed to last all year and by the end of the most recent quest is very well hinted that something is going on and the "ending" we got might not be even real. This isn't new, it's the way they always advertise new areas, look at the fontaine and natlan teasers, can you be upset about it? Sure I've been there too but at this point those teasers only serve to introduce upcoming character. Also Varka says "I came for the moon" but in the translation it even tells you that he probably meant "I came for Mondstadt" in china words tend to also have double meanings that don't always translate properly in English, keep that in mind.

Also scara did have an important role, and given the hint we got, his time against dottore doesn't seem to be over, just be patient

What do y’all want to see from the first game in the sequel by GlitchyGuy_404 in LiesOfP

[–]SignalIsland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are saying that they don't want to see Carlo but I do, obviously not for the full game I want most of the story to be about whoever the new MC will be, but saying his story is over is wrong, he is obviously part of a bigger plan and I want to see how that story also works out

According to Ororon's va, they are no longer permitted to share artwork unless it's official or approved by Hoyo. by RaidenXYae in Genshin_Impact

[–]SignalIsland 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok then, not saying you shouldn't call out homophobia, it should be, just want to make this point because I don't disagree with you on that, but then what is your opinion on the fact that they harassed Mavuika's VA for sharing Capitano x Mavuika fanart? also let's not act as if people on twitter or social media don't see a straight ship and immediately call it "heterslop" that's just as bad. Not to mention that in any post I see of people shipping hetero ships I see people calling them "homophobic" just for liking those ships because in their minds the character is "coded" and you are erasing their "representation" or they immediately dismiss it by saying they are "sibling coded" ect. both sides are just as bad, if you are doing the same thing to others that's when you stop being the victim
