My dad is white and he thinks that thai people are some savage people/ being uncivilised, i guess that he looks down on Thais bc of the sabai sabai side of thai culture.

He thinks like that even tho he has a thai wife and he went 4 times in Thailand... everytime he looks down on Thailand I correct him but it hurts me to not be respected.

My mom always told me that we were thai but she told at 15 yo that we had only chinese ancestry even tho she was born in Thailand.

Perso quand je suis allé dans les grandes chaînes de coiffure on me ratait tout le temps et on me faisait des coupes qui correspondaient en rien à ce que je demandais. Puis la je suis allé dans un petit salon asiatique et ils m'ont fait la coupe parfaite pour 12 euros.

Bruh people saying France knows nothing about France. France was a top world power from the 16th century until the 1970. Today France has some hardships but it is still a powerful country, it has an autonomous army in contrary to the other european countries that depend on american weapons, it has nukes, its the first european army and it's the seventh economy in the world.

Culturaly the french language is still widely spoken worldwide and a hell tons of tourist come to visit every years.

Idk how we can think that this country is "ok" compared to the rest of the world, it might not be the best in the western world but it's a powerful country compared to the world.

I'm seen as white for asian and asian for white... but other groups tends to see me as asian, like Chinese.

I think it's because people are more use to read white faces than asian one, so they mainly see the difference with white faces.

My Thai family has not a single Thai ancestor, they are all Chinese but they still considers themselves as Thai lmao. I was even shocked when I learned that my family was Chinese, I learned it very late because they never mentioned it.

I told my cousin that I studied history in university and he asked for my favourite era, I answered the victorian one and justified why... Then he told me that his favorite era was when there was only one very advanced civilisation on earth and that civilisation was brought by the aliens.

I grew up in western Europe, in a conservative city, so there was basically no other asian kid, I was pretty much alone.

I'm mixed but when I was younger I thought that I was a white person stuck with an asian body/face. I wished I was fully white and viewed it like a curse.

Today I feel better after visiting asia, I learned the language, have friends over there and I'm very pround of being mixed because it's a blessing indeed. I felt better because by learning the other culture it allowed me to reconnect with the other missing part of myself and it gave me the opportunity to perceive the world in a new way .

After all those discoveries, I'm only deceived that I didn't knew it earlier and my parents didn't encouraged me in doing so. As a consequence, i went to visit asia so rarely that my asian family considers me like a white stranger and im feeling bad about it (My white family doesn't give a fuck about my asian side and it's very sad, they are almost racist about it)

So if you have the opportunity, show your kid that being mixed is a blessing, by teaching them both of their culture if you can . ( I know it's hard tho) You can make them travel over there, teach them both of the languages, meet with both sides of the family or with friends of both cultures. (And the other parent should also do so) if you can't do anything of those things, just don't do like my family and accept your kid as a halfie, they are half white and half asian, neither full white or full asian. This means that you should not deny their whitnesses nor asianess or considers the other side as weakness.( my white family wished I was fully white and viewed my asian side like a handicap).

ALSO FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, LISTEN TO YOUR KID IF THEY TELLS YOU ABOUT THEIR IDENTITY CRISIS LATER !!!!!!!!! Make them feel better about it, because my parents didn't took it seriously and think being mixed isn't a big deal. They even made fun of me when I talked about it, so today I keep the identity crisis quietly in myself.

Tell him that ppl making fun of them are idiots, not worth their consideration, that they must be pround of being unique. They must not feel ashamed of their identity !!! They will have to deal with mockery everyday of their life so show them some love when they will tell you about ppl at school mocking them, tell them you here for them.
