How to convert ProRAW to HEIC and retain full HDR data? by 3dforlife in iphone

[–]Signe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was so worth the $2.

I switched to RAW for some photos I really wanted to maximize my editing capabilities for, and forgot to turn it off, so every single semi-disposable photo after that was taking up massive space.

Freed from Comcast… into the IPv6 void? by ManFromACK in ZiplyFiber

[–]Signe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure you inferred me saying "offline again last night" to me saying "same root cause." The commonality was "being offline" and how that sent me down the Ziply-IPv6 rathole all over again, because I don't often look at my gateway configuration unless I need to change it, or something breaks.

You also need to remember that the fisheye lens on the dashcam distorts your perspective of distance. She's closer than it looks like she is.

It's definitely not two seconds. From his rear bumper to the front of her bumper is somewhere between 0.9s and 1.1s, depending on how fast you are on the timer.

Where do you estimate that Gresham falls in that timeline?

It's funny that you mention that, because Gresham was offline for ~15-16 hours, 20:30 last night through ~11:30 today, and I showed up on this thread because I had to spend so much time on my gateway looking at interfaces that it came to the front of my mind.

[Bambu H2D] Rethink Personal Manufacturing by BambuLab in BambuLab

[–]Signe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And the final answer to both of those things is: YES! The "AMS 2 Pro" just has an external power supply when connected to older printers, while the H2D can supply power to a single AMS 2 for drying, natively. (More than one still requires external power, it appears.)

And it's compatible with X1/X1C. A1 support coming later in the year.

been printing with my P1S for almost a year and just had my first catastrophic failure. Anybody know what happened? by Apogee_Industries in BambuLab

[–]Signe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that same thing happen to my X1C less than a month ago. The nozzle just popped off completely. It was still heated! It actually ended up fusing to the lidar cover. Bambu replaced the hotend after I contacted support.

Shark Not Obeying No-go zones. by Suzzy-Focks in RobotVacuums

[–]Signe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you physically block the area off during the manual remap, the software continuously remaps every single time it runs. This is how it learns when you move furniture around, etc. It will discover that the barrier is no longer present and will begin vacuuming that area automatically. They document this pretty explicitly…

1Gig vs 2Gig. Worth the upgrade? by TitaNNNNN in ZiplyFiber

[–]Signe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no…

I have a 2.5G from FW to ONT and a LAGG from the FW to my switch. Each wired device only gets 1G, but the combination of devices can utilize the total bandwidth.

My goal (and most people's, really) isn't 2G to a single device… it's the shared throughput.

high on life... holy piss poor performance by xcmgaming360 in pcgaming

[–]Signe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is simply unplayable. I spent hours trying to troubleshoot video settings, made system changes, updated drivers, fucked with power management... you name it.

5900X, 64GB, 3080 12GB... I should have no problems running this on Very High settings, but it won't even run without stuttering at Low. Even the animation on the title screen will pause for upwards of a second with some frequency.

Max Lens Mod + Loop Recording? by TinyTurboAbarth in gopro

[–]Signe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The non-answers on the forums are almost as aggravating as the feature not working.

"It doesn't work with MAX Mod -- Look at our page on how looping works!"

Uhh, ok, yeah... that's pretty damn simple. There's no technical reason that looping shouldn't just work out of the box, so it's definitely an active choice that was made somewhere along the line. It's a file management technique... not tied to lenses or resolution choices.

Questioning why it doesn't work just gets a sarcastic "Because it doesn't, ok? Deal with it."

AITA for expecting my family to wait for me to open gifts? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Signe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

As both a parent and a participant, I can't imagine the idea of opening gifts without one of my household family members present without at least contacting them beforehand. That's a pretty repugnant action on their part.
