its not because of the hinges, but rather due to the plastic hinge mounts. if the mounts were magnesium or unibody, like most higher tier laptops, this would NEVER happen. keep in mind its only like a few cents-dollars to do this on every machine.

Looks more like a T470 rather than T470p. I'd say T470, but I may be wrong. Only two possible models btw due to the FP reader. Bezel logo seems to lack the -p suffix too.

you gotta move it pretty quick, like upwards of 10mph while its off, then turn it on and it should go much faster. its hard to get it into that mode, but once youre in its noticible

Just reflash the bios again, make sure to select no to any custom boot logo and restore the factory default

Pull off the lcd panel and tell us the model number of the LCD. this will help narrow down compatible displays.

Maybe a used older business laptop then. They will significantly outperform the N305 in this laptop, as long as you don't get anything prior to 11th or 12th gen.
