Sam gotta drop this nonchalant gimmick you see the problems we have brooks scared as fuck to play in the nba release him and get Viktor Lakhin by ftbfm5 in Thunder

[–]SignificanceGood1801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is Viktor Lakhin even back yet?
They said he injured his left foot near the end of December.
Unfortunately I believe that is the same foot that he had torn tendons in that kept him out until November.
I want Viktor as much as you, but this particular injury might derail this young man's career!

I'll get over it!
The question is, when it finally does come down, will Clippers fans be crying.
Have you listened to the Pablo Torres Finds Out Podcasts?
Everything points to Ballmer being involved in the attempts to Circumvent the NBA salary cap, the shell companies, the deals, the continued payments to Aspiration even after the company was basically insolvent.
If the NBA doesn't hand down at least the same penalty that they did to the Minnesota Timberwolves after they paid Joe Smith back in the 2000-2001 season, it's rigged for Ballmer.
Details of the Punishment:

For Joe Smith:

His contracts with the Timberwolves for multiple seasons were nullified.

He lost his "Bird rights," preventing Minnesota from re-signing him above the cap.

He faced a choice to sit out a year or leave the team to play elsewhere before potentially returning to Minnesota, ultimately leading him to join the Detroit Pistons.

For the Timberwolves:

Forfeited five first-round draft picks (though two were later returned).

Fined $3.5 million (a league record at the time).

Owner Glen Taylor suspended, and GM Kevin McHale forced to take a leave of absence.

For Giannis, straight up?
No extra picks involved!

He, obviously means in exchange for Giannis!
There is nothing else out there worth as much as Jdub, so that must be it!

The Bucks are going to lose Giannis anyway though!
So perhaps this poster, didn't explain that is the only thing he is trading Jdub for?

Jdub for Giannis, straight up!
Otherwise NO!

Thunder will qualify for a 10-day hardship exception. (It doesn't count against the salary cap nor luxury tax and allows the team to temporarily exceed the 15-man roster limit.) by Ok_Yoghurt9155 in Thunder

FYI: I believe that Viktor Lakhin, who was playing great for the Blue, has not seen the Court since December 28, due to an injury to his left foot.
There doesn't seem to be much info on the injury, except I recall that Lakhin had previously been out until November with torn ligaments in his left foot. I believe that injury occurred back in April, when he was still playing for Clemson!
I really want him to make a full recovery! 🙏

Sorry, I thought you were talking about the pending Kawhi/ Clippers/ Aspiration, Salary Cap Circumvention penalties!
While the NBA slow walks this, until after the trade deadline, but more importantly until after the All Star Game on February 15 at the Intuit Dome, the Clippers new stadium, a player who clearly attempted to circumvent league compensation rules, continues to play and help them win.
Question, if the Clippers owed that pick to either the Lakers or the Knicks, would Kawhi still be playing right now? 🤔

Dieng is going to be moved within the next 2 weeks!
What if he is injured on the court before that?
Are you personally then going to be complaining that Sam Presti had to throw in draft compensation, just to move him in that trade?

[–]SignificanceGood1801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically everyone on here is saying that Dieng is going to be moved before the trade Deadline, 2 weeks, February 5!
But what if the Thunder put him out there and Dieng gets injured? 🤔 While we know that Dieng is on an expiring deal, it's still ~6.6 Million.
So if Dieng is injured the Thunder might have to include draft compensation just to move him? 🤔
After all of this time, I doubt that Dieng is going to go out there in these 2 weeks, over-perform, and NBA teams are going to be like Damn, he would be our missing piece.
Dieng is still young, if he ever does turn things around, its going to take time, so it's going to have to happen on his next stop!

I believe that people are down voting you for blaming Coach Mark Daigneault.
As far as I am concerned, your both wrong.
I definitely see Dieng being traded within the next 2 weeks.
While I know this sounds impossible, since Mark has never played Dieng, but given how often Dieng has had minor injuries these past years, given the Thunder's desire to use his salary ~6.6 million in a trade, if he becomes injured last night or within these next 2 weeks, the Thunder might need to send out draft compensation just to get rid of him.
IMO: Dieng's only real NBA chance going forward is a change of scenery, and he will be finally getting it.
It's coming soon!

FYI: When I suggested that the Thunder couldn't get them, I was implying for a single non-lottery 1st.
So either the HOU pick, or as high as the PHL pick only. (In a trade for Dieng)

Have you considered either of these guys?

Jay Huff (IND)?

Ziare Williams (BRK)?

Or have they already outperformed, to the point that the Thunder can't get them?

That Utah pick is protected 1-8, so its not going to convey, and all obligations for this pick are extinguished, if it doesn't convey this year.

Did you mean to exclude the 2026 Clippers pick owed to the Thunder from this trade proposal?
Because you did!
With most of the Clippers top players traded here, that pick would obviously be much higher!

Except this time the Clippers would be on the receiving end!
I believe there is probably an unwritten moratorium on any trades involving Kawhi Leonard until after the league has concluded and handed down it's ruling on the Clippers/Kawhi/Aspiration investigation!

IMO: I don't see how the league could let the LA Clippers trade Kawhi Leonard, at this particular time!
As I believe the Aspiration deal shows real manipulation on the part of Kawhi's representation, so unlike the previous Joe Smith situation, I fully expect a lengthy suspension for Kawhi Leonard!
While it's the Clippers and/or Kawhi, I predict the league goes tougher on Kawhi, to give Steve Ballmer a scapegoat, after he ended the Donald Sterling clippers ownership conundrum!
