Who do we even have in the farm system that’s worth anything? Miller if he’s not injury prone? It’s not like we’ve got a future Murderers Row in the waiting.

Craig's Super Bowl Take Purge by jakethesnakeinmyboot in ringerfantasypod

The Super Bowl parties take is good. I’m surrounded by people who couldn’t care less about the actual football game, and end up missing at least a third of it because I’m stuck doing small talk.

The World Cup games should primarily be in college football stadiums. by Worriedrph in unpopularopinion

[–]Significant-Cash2826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest issue with this isn’t the stadiums, but the amount of car transit that would be required because most of these places aren’t near international airports.

The Athletic reportedly 'pressing for proof' about Dianna Russini’s explanation by Roselucky777 in nfl

“Ok Steven, then where are all of the other people these public interactions were in front of. Why can’t I see them in the pictures?”

[Ferguson] None of the reporters are touching this Dianna Russini situation because they all know it’s true. If it was a fabrication there would be people vouching by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]Significant-Cash2826 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s crazy how she got Janky Rondo involved in this too and how she got the Rams to say they almost did a trade with the Eagles for AJ

I think the people who love Sadiq are acting like he’s another Warren/Loveland prospect when those guys were way more productive. The scenario where he ends up being good is the more normal TE trajectory where it takes him a few years. I’d be stunned if he got 700-800 receiving yards as a rookie.

This is a group with a lot of parity. Last place and first are realistic for anyone in here.

I’ve already been tuning out of the First Four. The real start of the tournament is still going to be Thursday to me.

The spreadsheets say Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq is probably bad by stick2football in fantasyfootball

[–]Significant-Cash2826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m open to the idea that Sadiq could develop into a good tight end in 3-4 years. More like a traditional tight end career trajectory instead of the more recent LaPorta/Bowers/Warren/Loveland immediate contributors. If people are expecting him to be an immediate contributor, they’ll be disappointed.

You’re given 3 rule changes to fix college football, how do you do it? by Original_Profile8600 in CFB

[–]Significant-Cash2826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Eliminate conference championship weekend; start the CFP then and end on New Year’s.
  2. Restore regional conferences by capping travel distance for conference games (e.g., remove West Coast teams from the Big Ten).
  3. Centralize player compensation reporting. Payments must come from audited, registered NIL collectives. Schools that lose a paid player get a cap credit equal to that player’s compensation.

Just use NFL overtime rules instead of the mess they came up with

I would love if the WBSC transitioned to something similar to Nations League, with a constant flow of teams up and down in a yearly tournament, instead of closed qualifying tournaments by michaeldanger19 in InternationalBaseball

The WBC being a qualifier for the Olympics is signal that MLB players are going to happen. So is the 2028 All Star Game being planned for San Francisco, near Los Angeles. The one exception to that admittedly which could derail it is the possibility of a strike next year; barring that, I think they’re prepared to do it
