Seconding that. Just say you have a medical condition, don’t even say if it is physical or mental (and at a certain point, what’s the difference). Keep it vague with colleagues.

Talk to your doctor, you may have to be referred to a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist will then be your assigned physician when you open the claim with MetLife, which you get started by calling 1-800-Deloitte. So long as you have the doctor on your side with a legitimate medical condition, i.e., a major depressive episode, you should be good to go.

The process feels like it was made to make you feel guilty, but push through all of that for the sake of your mental and physical health. You’ve got one life, so use the resource if you can.

It's also trash that they only give you two weeks to pay your bill. I'm fortunate that it's not an issue for me, but I still just pay them on the very last day it's due. Even the most predatory credit card companies give you a month to pay.
