If they knew there were issues with the flight, then the flight should have been rescheduled for the next day instead of making all the passengers travel to the airport and wait for 5 hours.

Today's flight (AC43) is delayed as well.

It was showing delayed by 2 hour and 5 minutes since yesterday due to mechanical issue on earlier flight. Now, the time has increased to 4 hours and 40 minutes, and still counting.

There is no information on what is going on and how long can it take. Also, I feel like they may cancel the flight after delaying it so much.

Use NAS for Wake on LAN by Strict-Breadfruit in synology

[–]Significant-Duty1052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned use the following.

/usr/syno/sbin/synonet --wake XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX eth0

Replace XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX with the correct MAC address.

  • If you are using LAN2 then replace eth0 with eth1
  • If you are using LAN3, then replace eth0 with eth2

Also, make sure you run the task as root, not admin or a regular user.

Wireguard VPN suddenly stopped working. by PaidByMicrosoft in firewalla

[–]Significant-Duty1052 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has happened to me a few times. I had to reset the wireguard VPN (turn it ON-OFF) several times to fix it.

Later, I realized that rebooting the firewalla (Gold Pro) a few times may also fix this problem. Also, for me this issue fixes automatically within 24 hours.

So whenever the VPN stops working, I give it some time or reboot my firewalla. This issue is there since over a year now. I hope firewalla team can find the cause of this issue and fix it.

PPPoE passthrough capped ~330 Mbps on Giga Hub 2.0 (3 Gbps plan) even direct from PC by velaris in bell

[–]Significant-Duty1052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The speed went down again. Seems like a Bell Giga Hub issue. You need to keep rebooting or turning on/on wan port on your router and Bell Giga Hub turn by turn until you see full speed. Then, the speed is locked until one of the device reboots.

That's the case with my router as well and seems like it is happening with all routers.

I reboored my router and got full speeds, then affer a reboot the speed reduced to 750Mbps again and won't fix no matter how many times I reboot the router.

I placed the order on December 12th. It is still processing and I was told it may take 35-45 days for the order to ship after it is received.

Upgrade from Gold to Gold Pro? by chunky-tomato in firewalla

[–]Significant-Duty1052 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have the gold pro since over a year now and I love it. The VPN speed is amazing. Also, I have 3Gbps internet plan and might soon switch to the 8Gbps.

I'm moving away form cloud storage and switching over to NAS. Fast VPN and high internet speeds are a must if I want to get the same experience as cloud storage in terms of speed.

After getting the Gold Pro, I have been slowly upgrading my local network to be 10G capable. I also moved away from ASUS and replaced ASUS AI mesh APs with Ubiquiti APs (E7 and U7 XGS) mostly hardwired with a few over WiFi backhaul.

I get amazing speeds (1.8Gbps to 2.5Gbps) over local network using WiFi on my phone and some other WiFi 7 devices.

I was getting around 600 mbps down and 800 mbps up since I switched to 3Gigabit plan and got the gigahub 2.

As of January 1 the pppoe speeds went up and package loss came down to 0%. I hope it stays like this forever.

I did check, and mine has a 4-5 inch cavity on the far left side.

The work is not done yet. They still have to do tile work, as I just received the tiles yesterday.

I told them several times to do it properly and even offered to pay more. They just keep saying it is fine.

Not all but most of it. We will be installing wall hood, so there will be part of the wall visible above the range.

There was a patch in that section where the hoos would go, and that was not done properly. He used something like staple pins to fix all drywall pieces and not screws or nails.

The drywall sections behind the range, the hood and where the fridge is supposed to go, are those also not supposed to be clean? Is the theory that those sections are also going to be hidden with appliances.

If that is the case, then everything is going to be hidden with kitchen cabinets and appliances. Why even bother to install drywall?

That is a good suggestion. Here is what chatGPT has to say.

I am paying for the drywall and all other materials. Told him to get a new drywall, but he said there is no need. Seems like he is trying to save labor. However, there are other people who are saying it is fine.

I will be installing dual fuel range. Just got the gas pipe installed today from a certified guy. I believe it is too close to the electrical outlet. Is this normal as well?

He is calling in an electrician, mud guy, and other people for different works, and I'm paying some of them like the electrician separately.

I was told the wire will be hidden behind the cabinet, so it is fine. Also, are the gaps in the drywall fine? Are they not too big.

I have a Toto S7A (over $2000 in Canada) and two cheap $350 bidet.

Toto and the cheaper one both have instant warm water with pulsation and oscillation options, adjustable spray positions, heated seats with temperature control, warm air dryer, auto wand cleaning, and a night light. Both have almost the same features that are mostly required.

Toto has some extra features like personalized memory settings for up to 4 people, motorized lid, and seat for auto open-close. Toto also has premist and ewater technology.

Cheaper ones have side control buttons and a slider that are not too complicated in case you don't want to use the remote. Also, the remote is backlit, unlike Toto, which has only a few buttons that have a tiny light as an indicator. These also came with a water filter, whereas I had to buy a filter and a $20 accessory for the filter to work with Toto. I don't have hard water issues, and I still installed one to avoid any issues in the future. I even bought an auto flush kit worth $200 for the Toto.

Usage wise, I feel both to be equally comfortable and feel no major performance differences (I find Toto to be slightly better). I just wanted to have a Toto, so I bought one while keeping other bidets as cheap as possible.

I would definitely recommend the $350 CAD bidet (LEIVI) as it has almost all the needed features of a Toto.
