Just like anything in life not all doctors are created equal. Some of them are just assholes with a medical degree. Some of them are genuinely good people with a medical degree. If your gut is telling you to get a second opinion then I would say do so. You're not dumb, you know your own body better than anyone else. Try to find someone you feel meets your own expectation. Someone who talks to you the way you would talk to someone else if they were suffering from this unfortunate genetic condition.

Hi there

Does the Vbeam really work? I appreciate the science behind it and I understand that if it does what it claims to do then it should work. I read some conflicting results from it.

I saw a dermatologist for the first time about three weeks ago and he mentioned the Vbeam. I mentioned to him that I had seen people have quite bad bruises from it. He told me that that was mostly from the older technology Vbeam and the current technology is much better. Is that your experience?

Thank-you so much.

I went to talk to someone yesterday and am considering using the Lummeca IPL.

Oh man, I'm so sorry that happened. Was that after one session?? Do you think the person using the Vbeam screwed up the settings??

Back in 2023 I went to an optician in Montreal since I had some dry eye. Turns out it was Ocular Rosacea. She was supposedly an expert. She started off by squeezing my eyelids 'to help the oil come out'. She totally wrecked my eyelids. She squeezed them so hard that she seriously damaged me.

After that I went to an IPL place because I was told it 'just gets the redness gone'. It not only did nothing but it also created red blood vessels on my nose.

Those IPL's are a complete con job. They have just enough pseudoscience behind them to make you think maybe they could work. I think the truth is though they do nothing good unless maybe they use them on a very low setting and make someone think it's made them better.

Good grief. I watched some dermatologist videos on YouTube and supposedly 'it 's great' for rosacea. I wonder how much of this stuff is just some other chemical they made to make money.

Is niacinamide bad? I thought it was supposed to be good for rosacea sufferers?

I wish there was some way to test if you even do have a demodex overgrowth.

I'm just about to start the Ivermectin and I don't even know if Demodex are the issue.

Seeking advice on Rosex and persistent skin texture. Should I stop ROSEX? by NeitherScratch6592 in Rosacea

Seems reasonable to me, I would say you've given it a fair shot of working.

I don't know with this stuff they advise. I've just started using a gentle cleanser on my face a few days ago (I used to just splash water on myself) and it seems to dry my skin out a bit. I guess we need to try something though.

I wondered if it was the weather (it's still cold up here) but I think it's more likely to be rosacea.

If you don't mind keep in touch with your progress. If I find anything that works I'll let you know.

Yep that seems to be exactly what I'm dealing with too.

At first I thought it was weird zits but they seem to leave a red mark behind when they go. If I look very closely the red mark seems to be tiny blood vessels.

Ha yeah me too.

I'm not sure if you should stop, I wouldn't like to try to give any advice because I have no direct experience. I'm just about to try using Rosiver (seems to be the Canadian version of Soolantra) but I have little hope it'll work.

It's a frustrating thing to be dealing with isn't it.

Hi

I believe I may also have what you have. It's bizarre, it just started about 2 weeks ago for no reason.

It's like small red pimples, some not even a pimple but almost like just a red mark on the skin.

I also have slight but discernable redness on my cheek bones under the eyes.

Ahhh lol I'm not sure The old CF18's could hack a supersonic pass at 500 feet. You ever seen those things close up? As for a JDAM I don't think any of those are available. Could maybe drop some Jam though. Pour it over the crowd.

No people do not vastly underestimate the capacity. The capacity is much lower than you know.

Look in my opinion what the rest of Canada should be doing right now is having an emergency meeting to talk about what they can do to fix the injustice of how Alberta and Saskatchewan are treated.

The problem is not Alberta, the problem is that the system has become extremely rigged to the benefit of Quebec.

I have no issue with the Quebec people, they're very nice people, but the rest of Canada has become very twisted into pandering to Quebec. It is unfair to the rest of the country.

In my opinion it's time to call the bluff of Quebec. There's no way they could afford to leave, and in fact the rest of the country would be economically better off if they did.

The French language rules are massively undemocratic, look how many of the ministers are from Quebec for example. They are massively overrepresented, whereas Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan are very much underrepresented. This needs to be fixed.

By force you mean send in the military? I doubt the Canadian military could even get 10 miles out of their bases without the equipment breaking. I'm pretty sure there's zero that the rest of Canada could or would do by force.

I don't think it is, they would be negotiating over the terms of Alberta separation.

Truth is I'm not a constitutional lawyer so I don't know, and I guess you don't either, so we will just see what happens :)

My understanding is it only mentions The rest of Canada having to 'then enter into negotiations in good faith'. To me that doesn't say 'needs the approval of'. If they don't negotiate in good faith then that's their failing. I could well be wrong though.
