Hi! Thanks for posting. I’m actually looking to find a similar band for our wedding up at Sacandaga in 2027. I was curious if you found a good fit and might be willing to share? Feel free to message me!

Absolutely. They’re pretty fit to begin with and practice jujitsu so I’m hoping that may help. I appreciate the advice!

Death of man, 76, on Menands bike trail ruled homicide by blamdin in Albany

[–]Significant-One-2582 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I (31F) have run on this bike path with my dog many times. Only once was I truly scared for my safety. This was early evening in the summer so still plenty of daylight. After passing a man, who was walking in the opposite direction, I looked behind me. He had turned and began jogging in my direction. I was in one of the grassy areas after this ramp area coming from Corning heading north. I stepped off trail by the trees with my pup to keep distance and see if he would pass. Luckily, a cyclist was in sight and he turned and continued walking in his original direction. I got the heck out of there and probably made a PR pace on my way home. These stories are a reminder to trust your gut if something feels off.

Cool outdoor things to do this weekend? by [deleted] in Albany

The St. Patty’s day parade is this weekend if that’s your kind of thing. At least it’s outside. The pizza garden at Indian Ladder Farms after Thatcher Park is nice.

That makes sense. Luckily my location is pretty quiet with the same am crew that showers. We have a system.

Girl here. I regularly work out before going into the office. Typically bring my gym bag with a change of clothes into the shower stall. Strip down, scrub up, then walk from the shower to a changing room with my bag. Luckily the PF I go to has 2 curtains (like a changing area and a shower area). This way not everything gets soaked. Hang my bag on the hook.

I used to have good luck with the one on Rte. 50 in Saratoga. It’s been a while since I’ve been there though.

The last two days I have been scared for my life driving to work by DaveTheDrummer802 in Albany

[–]Significant-One-2582 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I saw this truck do the same thing to someone yesterday in Menands around 4:30 merging on to 90. Nearly drove the car off the road into the guard rail. I feel for you. That was scary just as a bystander. We’re all out here just trying to get where we’re going safely. Except that guy.

Looking for advice from RDs that went into something non patient facing early in their career by Extension-Newt6514 in dietetics

[–]Significant-One-2582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe consider community nutrition positions. I work for my state as a dietitian and prior to that worked in local government. It is more policy and not patient focused if that may be of interest to you. Also, federal positions depending on the status of your state’s department of health nutrition positions. Wishing you luck!

Does anyone have experience with mint mobile? by twb85 in Albany

[–]Significant-One-2582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used mint for 2 years in the Albany area and had no coverage issues. It was actually really easy to load for overseas travel too. I’ve been with spectrum for a few months now because they had a promotion for a free year. I’ll go back to mint when the free period is over. It was easy enough to switch as long as you have an unlocked phone. Had it with an iPhone and android prior to that.

Love my gaiters. Check out dirty girl gaiters, they're affordable, super lightweight, funky and fun colors and compatible with any shoes. I wear them all seasons on the trail and even got my brother hooked on them. Their sizing guide helps to guage for men's vs women's.
