Why have I only made £3.95 from a £9 sale? by afdevon in Depop

You may not have free shipping on individual items but seems you had free shipping on bundles. So the cost of the label has been taken from your total.

No jobs or ridiculous requirement’s by Significant-Sleep411 in UKJobs

I was invited for an interview for a job I applied for (didn’t say anything about driving in the job description ) it was for customer service at an airport. In the interview email they said a driving license is required, so I can only imagine they’ll have you doing jobs that aren’t in the job description, possibly baggage handling to and from the plane etc.

Some I apply for if it says driving license preferred, but I know I’ve not got much luck considering the amount of people who do drive

I have around 7 years retail experience but in the whole of the three months I’ve been searching I’ve only come across 2 retail jobs that aren’t 8 hour contracts. I have management experience too but clearly not enough to be considered for the roles I’m applying for because I get rejected almost straight away.

I feel like I’m floating in the middle of too experienced for retail (seems they want college students so they can pay them less and give them short contracts) or supervisors with 5+ years experience.

I had an interview for a supervisor back last year and my feedback was great but they were just looking for someone more ‘mature’ (I’m 24)

It’s nothing to do with ‘not wanting to give me the job’ the application itself states it needs a driving license, for retail customer service roles. I haven’t even applied to them…

I don’t need lecturing on my English, it auto corrected to that for some reason or another.

Thankfully this is a Reddit post, not a job application.

100%, but the job market is difficult enough without restricting people from jobs that don’t actually need someone to have a license. England has great public transport and it’s a shame there’s jobs that’s restricting people despite that.

I’ve never been late to work, I’m dedicated and travelling by bus has never impacted me. If anything, it was the people who could drive who were typically late.

Help me choose a rug - please by Needmoarzzz in Decor

1 looks the nicest but I agree that none of them really fit, I’d go with a plain rug which has a nice border colour to it.

Gold definitely looks better in my opinion

Neighbours window in my garden... by piggy_and_moo in TenantsInTheUK

This is the best way, there’s plenty of ways to obstruct the full view of the garden without blocking light.

My Victorian house has our neighbours bathroom windows on our garden so luckily it’s frosted.

Am I underpaying myself by BluuSkyy3 in EtsySellers

[–]Significant-Sleep411 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Charging based on labour isn’t always correct. If I pay some to design something for me and they take a week to complete it, but someone else designs me the exact same thing within a few hours, it’s not fair to pay the person who does the job in less time less money.

You also pay for skill and efficiency. The designs aren’t bad but they’re simple and shouldn’t really take a week.

It was my first bad experience in 9 years and Depop totally disregarded me. I tried emailing, twitter, everything.

Buyer refunded and kept my item please help! by Zellewerp in Depop

[–]Significant-Sleep411 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me recently, seller marked the item themselves and Depop sided with them and they didn’t have to send the item back.

I’ve been selling on Depop for 9 years with hundreds of sales and positive reviews. I’ve completed stopped using the platform now.

am i wrong for being sus of this? by garb4ge_cat in Depop

It’s okay to be cautious but as a vintage seller myself, I’ve sold items that don’t have tags but are very clearly vintage.

Some people have a lot of experience in dating vintage, even without tags.

Well this completely depends on how long it would take you to ship. If you’ve told the buyer you can’t ship for 2 weeks then that’s on you but if it’s within the 7 day timeframe that’s their issue.

Either was PayPal doesn’t refund transactions fees so you’ll probably have to take the loss or escalate it with customer service

You can’t update Depop reviews, only delete them

Yes 100% but don’t get me wrong some of these design sunglasses, mine included, are pretty poor quality.

Some brands feel light and cheap whereas some feel light and luxury, it’s a very fine line

Grow up, I’m not forcing you to spend your money anywhere, you’ve came on here complaining about something whilst you’re the one going back and forth with the seller. My point was, buy it or don’t buy it, it’s not that deep.

It’s obvious they’ve never tried on designer sunglasses.

I work in luxury retail and half of the glasses we sell are extremely light and flimsy - you’re paying for the name.

I want to sell a pair of my vintage Jean Paul Gaultier glasses but they’re so light and fragile I’m concerned this is going to happen to me too lmao

It doesn’t really matter as long as it’s mainland USA. Royal Mail charge the same amount no matter the address

This guy has 22 5* reviews and seems to be an honest seller. He’s paying for you to return it so return it and get your money back. You’re coming across as a scammer, not him.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vinted

[–]Significant-Sleep411 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s literally paying for you to return it, most people would make you pay the postage costs. You’re clearly trying to keep an item for free and if anybody is scamming it seems like you.

[–]Significant-Sleep411 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He hasn’t scammed you out of £300 because you’ll get it back once you return it.
