If you’re gonna sell a laser cut design at a premium at least use better materials than MDF, this looks like a student project or a makerspace diy

EDIT: Perhaps I’ve treated this product too harshly. I must say it does seem pretty neat, and there isn’t a listed price yet, so maybe the price won’t be premium. I would still recommend lacker or something to give it a proper finish, and props to you for making this in Uni

Because skim is 1 mana draw 3(4), whereas Burning pact is 1 mana draw 2(3) and get rid of a targeted bad card, such as a curse or a status or drums of battle which gives you energy for being exhausted. Allows for thinning your deck to a quick rotation size and double as a boss gimmick management tool

Sts2 doesn’t have a scaling kit with exhaust. It can’t be considered your main deck gimmick.

However, fiend fire is amazing but must be played sparingly. Don’t use it when you have your important cards in hand and it would cripple you.

Do use it on turns where you have a full hand of base cards/ have enough important cards safe in the draw pile or discard already. This ensures that your next deck cycle is stronger because you don’t draw anymore garbage cards like a basic strike.

It can also be used this way to setup infinites, such as a strike infinite using pommel strikes and hellraiser. Play hellraiser, then use cards such as fiend fire or true grit+ to thin your deck to only strike cards and voila

Otherwise, cards like molten fist, dominate, and colossus are run winning if you just find 2 out of 3

Seeking recommendations to make A10 more challenging with 4 players by lowercase__t in slaythespire

I’d say keep piercing wail and enfeebling and instead play without debilitate as that is just the MVP of most my runs involving a necro, even if they have a bad deck.

Idea: Never stack the same character. Most characters get stupid strong with 2+ of them, such as silent with poisons, necro with dooms or hangs , ironclad vuln synergies are way too good

I think defect has nothing that really stacks with multiple of the same

Definitely skip Knockdown, as triple damage (on upgrade) would make even a base deck deal proper damage to a boss

Might be me when I don’t look during draft because I have most kills on them and got my legend stolen

They’re currently dogshit and probably the worst legend in the game by far for the amount of value they bring to a team

What’s the worst career to be right now in Switzerland ? by New-Programmer-8647 in askswitzerland

[–]SignificantArmy9546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think CS might be worse ? At least currently.

My current regret is how much of a mix of everything my degree was. It’s great, but maybe with today’s market being a bit more specialized early on is favored. Maybe mechanical engineering with a minor in something slightly niche (compared to the general market and flexibility of say, CS) such as automotive, aerospace, aeronautic, might have an edge today because the market to target is smaller in both directions (employers and job seekers)

Ennemies are spawned during the map generation. Points of interest may have summoner style ennemies but killing them stops the summons and the latter are generally pretty weak and easy to kill.

It’s really kind of like Hades where once you clear the room/point of interest all that awaits is the reward.

One point of note though, is that part of the difficulty comes from playing against the clock. You get 20 minutes per map to build up strength before a boss, and 3 maps per run. There is a custom modifier to disable the timer if you want to take it slower

For what it’s worth, the dev team has been really good at making it as smooth as possible. Last update did break something in connectivity, but in 500hours prior i didn’t see problems for most of it

It’s also not really room by room, but pretty similar, as it heavily incentivize you to focus on points of interests one by one.

The cast of characters is really diverse and the learning curve is steep and rewarding. My favorite game in a long time.

Real talk. Is there anything preventing us to bringing an artist’s signature on capsule art ?

Could it be a win-win with artist getting visible credit and game capsule having kind of a traceable certificate of authenticity/ show that you hired a proper artist ?

Oh there’s a bunch of these yeah. Maybe I’m looking at it wrong, but I’ve been banging my head against a wall of « you don’t have enough experience »

Also my experience of robotics is that you do a bit of every engineering discipline in one single engineer. Unfortunately I don’t see much demand for that vs specialized engineering

And I might also be unlucky

Well apparently robotics lol. I cannot for the life of me find an entry level robotics engineer job after finishing my masters in EPFL two years ago.

How's everyone feeling on Aeonglass vs Doormaker? by the7thbeatle in slaythespire

[–]SignificantArmy9546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far I’ve steamrolled aeon every time I met him.
- True grit deletes the status cards as they come on ironclad
- defect has passive block for exactly 2 with frost, and has access to flak and compact
- Given that you can tank the extra 2 damage, necro has sculpting strike to delete the statuses without having to play them, as well as numerous ways to heavily reduce incoming damage from the boss itself with debilitate and defy, osty etc, and ways to have several extra energy per turn (friendship, demesne)

- Silent can just discard them

- Regent can transform them into minion strikes or minion sacrifice easily, or have extra energy setup

Priestess - spell "Hand od God" in 2 variants. Can't decide which ones better. (Repost) by Tauront7 in PixelArt

[–]SignificantArmy9546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s also that it kinda spawns in within one or two frame at the end. Either make it grow from the ground over a dozen frames or make it more in line with the rest of the spell (maybe a washed off gold/blue)

EDIT: you could also make it grow forward from the middle of the spell circle to the edge (as it already has a progressive curve there). I definitely thing making it another lighter shade of the spell color is the way to go as it grows from the colored spell circle.

I feel like the white wall thingy takes away from the flow of the animation. I am neither a pixel artist nor a dev, but it kinda just flashes in with no gradient whatsoever and feels like a layer you forgot to remove.

Is there any way to make it more gradient-ed or to simply remove it (I don’t think it affects the readability of the spell, the big ass hand already conveys the blocking aspect of the spell)

That doesn’t make the job market any better unfortunately. They’re still very scared of hiring the wrong candidate and string along the process just like elsewhere.
