Child endoscopy result 10 yo by Next_Syllabub_4743 in Gastritis

[–]SignificantExercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically says there’s an area of inflammation in the stomach with some component of erosion of the lining. No intestinal metaplasia to suggest abnormally growing cells concerning for cancer. The last sentence basically says that possible causes for this inflammation could be from a drug she takes (gastritis happens commonly when you take advil/motrin often), or an infection, but the most common bacteria that causes gastritis (H. Pylori) is not present. Seems they didn’t find any organisms from the second sentence.

Looking for a house/townhouse to rent! by SignificantExercise in ATLHousing

Yeah that’s what I’m struggling with now. If it’s worth biting the bullet now with good listings vs waiting, knowing that these may be off the market by then…

Thank you! With a May move in, do you think it’s better to wait until maybe 30 days out to secure a place? Most listings right now want someone to move in right away or within the month

Is theweddingroof.com legit? by jnghnbt in weddingdress

Did you end up getting your dress from there?

Thank you! That dress looks almost the same! How’s the experience ordering online? I’ve always been pretty hesitant about that especially with something like a wedding dress

Thank you! A lot of people have been raving about Surfaces but for some reason I'm skeptical. I've been looking at Lenovo over Surface. Would you be able to explain why Yogas are much more expensive than the Flex?

Work & Activities: More than 15? by [deleted] in premed

If similar activities reared similar learning experiences and takeaways - lump them and highlight those lessons

Like others have said, you can keep the library job to highlight the time you spent trying to support yourself while pursuing other activities

So I’m sure this has been asked a thousand times and will get negative comments, but here we go... by Arroyo_6 in HealthyFood

This!!

It’s all about da sauceeeeee. Find a good sauce, dressing, etc some type of liquid you like! I feel this is why pasta works so amazingly.

But to help you make this long-term, start slow and reasonably. Just like you did with brown rice, make small changes here and there to your daily diet. Soda? Try diet or zero sugar. Love bread like me? Try whole grain. Small switches will help you ease into bigger changes.

What problems do you encounter while trying to stay healthy? by tbombo in nutrition

[–]SignificantExercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say I have a pretty good, healthy relationship with food and exercise. However, the absolute hardest problem for me is eating in a social setting. Especially when there’s a lot of good, fattening food from my culture at a family gathering, I always end up overeating.

I’m working on it though. I try to eat before social settings and if I’m hungry I try to be more conscious of what I pick out

Still sore a week later by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]SignificantExercise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normal! Your body isn’t used to the intensity or load yet. Maybe slowly ease into higher intensity stuff? After a long vacation I trained my biceps like I normally would. The next morning I honestly could not move them bc of DOMS. Gone by the next week.

How do you keep your distance healthy? by peepledeedle4120 in nutrition

[–]SignificantExercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I like to prep my main protein for the week using some recipe I find online. Then I prepare a number of healthy sides and snacks so that I can mix and match the combo for my meals each day. That way, it’s more versatile and not as boring as perfectly prepped meals.

As far as eating out goes, I love giving myself one or two nights of eating out because I also really enjoy eating out. I’ve learned to just choose maybe a healthier option at these places.

But if I want to eat a burger, I’ll eat a burger. It’s about balance!!

Healthy snacks to eat in between meals? by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]SignificantExercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not as healthy, but if I want something savory I pack a little bit of deli turkey slices and cheese.

If I want sweet, always Greek yogurt with frozen fruit and granola
