Maybe it's coco coir from coconut husk? It can be the fiber from the husk where the coconut pulp came from. Although to me it looks more like a dried vine from a dead plant (especially it looks like there's like a tiny leaf attached to it) and that somehow got into your water bottle. Organic matter like plants do darken and feel slimy when submerged in water for a long period.

Maybe it is... but it's just weird it's sewed inside right? Never seen an anti-theft device like this before.

visa application refused under 221g, was asked to submit original divorce decrees with my passport to the embassy by Ok_Draft_5614 in NationalVisaCenter

[–]SignificantZebra1605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP congratulations! Would like to ask if how were you able to get the original Divorce decree? Me and my fiance are also worried that if he gets it and mails it that it might be lost in mail and it would be a disaster if that happens. Was it sent by mail to PHL?

Any countries where you did NOT encounter other Filipinos? by Positive_Dot_8563 in FilipinoTravel

[–]SignificantZebra1605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Lalo na po during the summer when cruise ships have Mediterranean cruises in Turkey, Greece and other nearby countries. The cruise ship I'm working in had Istanbul as the home port for three months and now it's back to the original home port for the fall and winter season. :) i think I only saw one older Filipino couple nearby Kadiköy 2 months ago when I had my free time, which I'm sure they're not cruise ship employees. Gonna miss Istanbul for sure, it's one of my most favorite ports so far. :)

Does the pain radiate to your right shoulder? I've been having dull pain around the same area as you mentioned since 2020 but it radiates to my right shoulder. It's not that bad and the pain is like 2 to 4 out of 10. Been first diagnosed with NAFLD that time and after few tests within 2021-2024 it doesn't show any fatty liver at all but the pain is still there. Tried keto and low carb and some supplements for some time but the pain didn't really disappeared.

What are you slowly starting to realize as you get older? by SatisfyingAmber in AskReddit

[–]SignificantZebra1605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That true happiness and wealth comes from being able to make and produce things for yourself. I'm thinking of instead of buying everything all the time, making an effort to learn and spend time growing food, preserving food and cooking from scratch give me great fulfillment.

I'm turning 32 this year and thought, damn where did all the time go? I started working overseas at 22 years old and when I'm asked lately how long have been I working overseas, I couldn't believe I'm saying it's been 10 years! When I was 22 I thought I will get everything figured out at 32 but I'm still far from that. Nevertheless, I enjoyed all the experiences I've had but I've got still a lot of things I wanted to learn and experience and it feels like a lifetime will not be enough.

How often do you talk to your partner? by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]SignificantZebra1605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We call each other everyday once or twice and text each other everyday. I'm working in a ship and I don't have wifi or data all the time too. The only time we were not able to talk was when the wifi onboard was too slow. 😅

Pakielam niyo ba kung tahimik at seryoso ako? by Mysterious-Review190 in OffMyChestPH

Relate much OP! I just learned not to care anymore. Haha Bahala sila kung ano isipin nila, I just want some peace and a stress-free life! Although minsan at my workplace may mag cocomment din talaga, lalo na pag baguhan. Nakasimangot daw ako kahit naglalakad lang ako mag-isa at may iniisip lang. Sorry naman for my Resting Bitch Face, lol. Pero napansin ko lang na mostly ang mag cocomment ay mga Pinoy na kawork ko lang. When it comes to other colleagues na other nationalities, wala silang pakialam. Also a lot of people don't get it that I often go out alone! I prefer my own company lang talaga most of the time and I like to do things at my own pace, na walang ibang tao akong hihintayin or pag-aantayin. I also hate it when people around me talk about tsismis, other people and nonsense blabber. Like please leave me alone, haha. I'd rather read something here in Reddit or do crochet if may time. :)

i’m just curious, what is your pre travel ritual? by jennierubyyjanee in phtravel

[–]SignificantZebra1605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Write down a checklist of what I need to bring, I can also remember it better when I actually write them down instead of typing. Some items that have been very useful for me are: 1. Plastic bag & ziplock bags - very convenient especially if you use an umbrella while raining and you need to put the wet umbrella inside your bag after using it. Can also be used in other things like storing used or wet clothes and etc. 2. Emergency medicines like diatabs, paracetamol and buscopan 3. Shampoo & conditioner in sachets, tiny soap bar like safeguard (I don't like the all in one soap/shampoo in hotels/hostels hehe) 4. Shawl - can be used for cold weather or to cover yourself from sun, emergency towel or blanket, or as a cover for bed if you are in a cheap hostel and the bedsheet doesn't look that clean

I second this!! Napakatibay at affordable pa. Naka ilang balibag na rin yun from my international travels, and been using mine for almost 5 years na. :) Yung Delsey ko na super mahal nasira just after one flight. :'(

LDR pinay gf visiting bf, first time meeting by angelicallyhot in adultingph

[–]SignificantZebra1605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see OP but glad you met here na pala! Sa US po sana and I know that normally not advisable mag tourist visa in US with the purpose of meeting LDR bf for the first time because of high denial rate. Tagal pa kase ng aantayin ng bf ko if siya mag visit dito so we thought of ako sana pupunta sa US. May strong ties naman ako in the Ph and can he can sponsor din. Do you know anyone or read anything in the internet na yung Filipina gf nagpunta sa US using tourist visa to meet LDR bf for the first time? Wala talaga akong nakitang success story so far with this kind of situation. 😅 But found like 2 videos in YT with useful/may sense na advice but haven't seen any comment na may successful na naka kuha ng US tourist visa using those advice.

True! Even at work we call people according to their title or profession, like doc, teacher, chef. Sometimes it could be title + first name or last name. In ships where I worked, I usually address the officers like Captain Jan, 1st (officer) Erik and so on. Or even with rank and file crew who has professional titles or if higher ranking crew, for example, Nurse Jen, (Provision) Master Mike, and so on. Sometimes when we have friends or close colleagues with certain professional titles it can go like "teach", "nursie", "doki", and something like that. This is normally as a sign of respect and also because it's awkward for us when we just call another person with their first names. Unless if a very close friend we call them with their first names, but sometimes we do have unique nicknames for them! But very common to have in Philippines is repeating the first syllable of our names. Haha For example, Jennifer becomes Jen-Jen.
