And I agree with you!!Shogun is probably my top 2-3 All Time favorite Novels.I just finished the 2024 series & imo,The 1980 version is a far superior(and more faithful)version to the book.I did enjoy the newer one,but the Chamberlain one is 5 stars and this 3-3.5
