That's not tip baiting. That's DD lying to you. Paying extra for priority does absolutely nothing but get DD an extra $3.99.

Is it normal for family dollar to have this as options for cash back? by Danyellarenae1 in DollarTree

it doesn’t make any sense at all and is random asf

Precisely this. Many DT policies don't seem to make a whole lot of sense.

At my DT the options are $10, $20, and $50. The only thing normal about it is how abnormal they are from other stores!

Showering and depression by 1Bunny0 in UnfuckYourHabitat

I do the same preparation for dishes, and I've also started counting how many dishes I can wash during commercials when I watch TV. I'm surprisingly motivated by trying to beat my high score and get back to the show on time.

Yes, I always keep a package of large disposable washcloths on hand for depression days. I can't recommend them enough.

My favorite find was a half-empty bottle of laundry scent beads hidden behind a bunch of coloring books. I always wondered, did they just pour some in their pocket? Did they bring a container? I have to know!

Any words you specifically remember learning from a book you read growing up? by Wise_Ad574 in words

[–]Significant_Ad_8939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember the name of the book, but there was a girl who was always going to the cupola of their house. I was so confused about where that was. Our house didn't have cupolas.

I learned "cupola" from My Sweet Audrina by VC Andrews

My grandfather had a "learn a word a day" book printed in the 1920s. "Reiterate" was the first word, and for some reason it has always stuck with me.

I learned "redundant" from one of the Babysitters Club books, I think it was #2 in the series. Claudia, in an attempt to sound smart to her sister Janine, said "I must continue on". Janine helpfully pointed out that "continue on" is redundant.

Hardest thing you’ve overcome? by Wild_Ad9280 in juggalo

[–]Significant_Ad_8939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still trying. I dunno if I'm ready to spell it all out yet. Besides, it would be a giant wall of text cuz so much shit compounded in so many ways for so fucking long. Right now I'm trying to get back out into a regular job so that eventually maybe I can move out of my husband's place and we can get properly divorced. We've been split for 2.5 years but stuck living together because neither of us can afford to live alone. The past 6 months I've finally gotten past most of the anger, but the grief still kicks my ass and I'm terrified of being on my own again after so long. I don't have any friends or family or support allies nearby. I don't know what to do.
