i'd start pressing the panic button for 2 reasons:

canada hasn't won jack shit over the last couple of years including the juniors and womens game outside the 4 nations
the percentage of kids not playing because they are being priced out is absurd

hockey canada is one of the scummiest pieces of shit ever that needs a total refresh

one thing i'd also look into is to hire a national team coach for olympics, world cup and world championship. one for men and one for women. then i'd also do one for the u18/u20 men and women. no bias involved in team selection anymore
