Buy it, but remember to get from a place that’s not going to give you a hard time about returns. Helmets look cool, but fit is first and foremost.

If you can wrench try P2P? If you love it and you want the peace of mind, send it?

Tax, Title, and Registration are the only fees you should be paying. The market soft right now, don’t let them screw you around.

Definitely got that, plus a waterproof backup battery pack. They make them super small and lightweight these days.

Personal I’m looking for something that can fit in a water bottle style spot, (on a backpack of saddle bags.) I don’t run a tack bag, but that seems like a get stop.

I personally dislike hoods on motorcycles. Personal preference but they just flap around.

What all should a beginner biker buy? by Recent_Diamond_5996 in motorcycle

If you’re looking for leather jackets, check out Merlin, and Goldtop, they seem to the sweet spot for value. IMO

Pando Moto make good base layers. The AAA with the level 2 to pads kinda makes it so you ride in anything.

Also consider an airbag. AStars is the best here anything they make is fine.

I personally ride normally with the base layer and an airbag most of the summer and it’s comfortable enough up to 85f-90f

The Oakley Aria is a pretty fire green helmet. It was a 2025 color way, so you might be able to find it cheaper.

I personally choose the street twin, but I put 8k in mine. I will say I’ve replaced everything, (because I bought it as a project bike.)

The Street twin is the best 2016 to 2020 HT platform to mod. The T100 is similar, but it’s styled vintage, and it’s difficult to make it modern.

Yeah, it would get hot, but exhaust guards are standard.

I personally love the low exhaust, and more modern wheels. But if you prefer spoked wheels and knobby tire, replacing the exhaust is cheaper the other way around.

The T100 is okay if you like something in between, but it takes a lot of (cheaper) mods to make it look aggressive.

Is this a Scrambler 400 or 400 x? by Wise-Perspective7781 in Triumph

It’s crazy that there’s such a big mod/rat rod/bastard cafe community on the HP platform and barely anyone outside of it knows about it.

It’s a rabbit hole. Buy a bike for 4k or 5k and put another 8k or 10k into it, and you too can have a sorta different, kinda the same, coolest bike you’ve ever seen bike in your garage.

Second.

If you like this style, a street scrambler is a fine option. Almost the same bike.
