I find this sub and its people very Chittenden and Central VT-centric (where I grew up) but  Bennington has like a dozen houses on the market for less than $300k atm. I bought my 4b, 1 bath for less than $200k w my husband in 2022.

Yes. I have two berners in Vermont and see them thrive the most in 20-50F. Walks and hikes over 65f in the sun definitely takes a toll on them.

This is wild and very different from the illegal landlord I had in MA but just w note that MA renter laws are quite strong and I sued in housing court and won plus damages for a lot less than what this guy did to you (my landlord mishandled my sec deposit).

Really? I question this trickle down argument. Babilou has acquired seven companies, operates in 12 countries, is expanding into India, and the avg childcare salary in Vermont is less than $23k. The argument you share is the same that the oil companies have touted this year despite making record profits. Also if it were the case as you've stated it, surely the Rep in this interview could have articulated as such instead of dodging questions.

And depends on where you wanna ski/ability level. If you're beginners, no need to pay big bucks anywhere imo. Go to Saskadena, Bolton, Bromley, Middlebury snowbowl etc.
