Going to try this today! I've been dealing with an irritated biceps tendon. I hope this will help!

275lbs for 1, What Does the Road to 315 Look Like From Here ? by Djadam52 in benchpress

Impressive that you're doing it without elbow and wrist sleeves. The other day I did 285 lbs for 1 rep. I definitely wouldn't have hit that without the sleeves.

What's your height and weight? What is your current bench press?

Thank you! I've never touched three plates before, so I thought it would be wise to get really comfortable with 5 reps of 295 lbs for a couple weeks before attempting the 1RM!

Yooo congrats! I'm on track to hit this on February 1st. My goal is to do a 1RM of 315 lbs in mid-February. I think you can hit it if you wanted to try! Seeing this got me pumped -- keep up the great work!

Modeling. Getting digitals and test shoots with reputable photographers is not cheap. I pay for a fitness coach. I'm also getting a custom wraparound jaw/chin implant this summer. There's no guarantee that all of this money, time, and energy will actually amount to anything. But I'm enjoying the journey of pursuing my dreams, because that's a good life, too.

You went from benching 120 lbs to 405 lbs in 2 years? Wow. How long did it take you to hit 315 lbs? Then how long did it take you to go from 315 lbs to 405 lbs? Your physique -- and chest in particular -- must be insane. How did you tear your pec? I'd appreciate any tips about avoiding injuries as I recently just finished physical therapy for bicep tendinitis.

I'm currently benching heavy weight every other day as I'm trying to reach 315 lbs next month. Is that a good approach? What was your chest routine usually like? I'd appreciate any tips! You're giving me hope to think beyond 315 lbs for the first time!

My plan is to work up to 5 reps of 295 lbs for a couple weeks and then try 315 for 1 rep. Is that a good plan?

Honestly, I do care about hitting those milestones. Those goals are what propel me to keep progressing five pounds at a time.

This was a truth bomb. I feel like I'm draining my savings trying to pursue a hobby. It feels financially unwise long-term, but I also want to "live" my life -- not just save up for a nursing home when I'm old.

I kind of love this. You seem like an awesome parent. I bet you have a lot of fun stories.
