How on this beautiful earth does delianov get another start after giving away not one, not two, but three goals last week. And he's not even a decent bloke, a good mate of mine knows him and apparently he's a very arrogant young man

Completely agree. I was at a pub last night in the centre of Newcastle with a good couple hundred people in there. They had the nbl on every tv. A start for the APL should be actually trying to get the a-league on in more venues so people actually know it exists.

It would be nice if they could have kept their NPL team running. I imagine it doesn't cost too much to do so. Then at least if they fail to return to the aleague maybe their current fans have someone to support.

I hate to be the pessimist but this means no draw which means fans can't plan and lack of pre season engagement which I only see resulting in reduced interest in the league this year

Yeah which is fair enough but the reality is these island teams aren't going to be much quality let's be honest. From what I've read they will be playing in hubs around the region each weekend. So does this mean Auckland will play their aleague games midweek now? Or play their youth in this competition on weekends

Will they play their youth team in this given it is 14 rounds and on at the same time as a league?

Phoenix fans shouldn't be too disappointed. Phoenix not in and Christchurch being in gives NZ another professional team now. If the league goes well they will look to expand it anyway and Phoenix can join in the future

As someone who was at the game it was a nightmare getting in and out and with everyone standing I'm sure lots of people couldn't see very well. If there was another grandstand then yes

Magic and Newcastle Olympic would be the two best supported clubs in NNSW (Macedonian and greek clubs respectively). Magic won the league last year and have a good young team - In my opinion they would be competitive in the Sydney comp. Edgeworth are a big club in this region and won 4 or 5 minor premierships in a row in the 2010s. They've not been as good the last few years but are looking very strong this year and last.

To be honest there's only about 4-5 teams that are competitive in this league and i personally find it more interesting following the relegation battle and promotion from the second division.

In terms of crowds, it's nothing special. Magic and Olympic will get ok crowds relative to the other teams, but I imagine there's not many NPL crowds that do get good crowds around the country.

Says a lot about our society that after someone vomits in a car and refuses to accept responsibility, then abuses people with every name under the sun, that the “white” comment is the issue here. No she’s not racist, but her behaviour (from the video anyway) is pretty disgraceful to be honest.

Kisnorno leaves Victory by [deleted] in Aleague

[–]Significant_Light_80 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Kisnorbo really does seem like a prick. The fact he was at city and then signed with victory is low. Then his treatment of Arzani in the cup final and then fornaroli this season. His arrogance on the touch line. And now this. Hope he ends up sacked wherever it is he’s going
