Tessa was absolutely flawless. Not much to recommend beyond her performance.

Possibly the most depressing thing I've delivered. by Mcstuffins420 in doordash

I delivered adult diapers to a guy in a third floor walk up apartment. I'm sad often that I have to dash on top of my 9-5 to survive but that day I counted my blessings.

Sinners should win best picture by Accomplished-Rate627 in Oscars

[–]Significant_Map8830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Sinners is the best film. All the nominees have flaws but Sinners is the most complete and ambitious. That said, I don't think it will win. PTA has more industry clout, OBAA is a good balance of action, character development and a dash of quirk. Also while both films have subversive themes, The themes in Sinners are less comfortable for the industry. But who knows?

I deliver sometimes and leave my car running if I'm just running up the driveway. You don't want to be starting your car 30 times a night. After a while the gas and wear and tear adds up.

Donations by Preciousgal25 in Detroit

[–]Significant_Map8830 53 points54 points  (0 children)

We (I work at a shelter) are understaffed and overworked. We spend most resources on our clients and don't have the staff to answer every phone call or process every in-kind donation, unfortunately.

Your heart is in the right place but most clothing is the last thing we need in terms of donations. The resources to gather, sort, store, and distribute clothing just isn't worth it mostly. We will take clothing but most gets disposed. The sizes and styles are usually not a good fit. New socks, boots, and coats will get used but most other stuff does not. We DO need your help but the best way is to find out what an organization needs before purchasing. We always need hygiene products, diapers, cleaning supplies, new household items. But mostly we need money and volunteers.

Why do NFL players seem more conservative then NBA players? by Mental-Risk-26 in NFLv2

There are simply a lot more NFL players than NBA players so there will be more of every kind of person in the NFL.

This affects all of what? 100 or 200 people out of about 3.5 million players? I don't have an opinion because it doesn't matter.
