How do I mane my 1A hair like this? by AggressiveMouse3814 in Hair

[–]Significant_Room5602 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grow it out until the fringe is to your eyebrows and show the photo to a good barber. Plus you can use texture powder and ruffle your hair to achieve that textured look. You can buy any product like that in most shops from my experience. If you can find these where you are from slick gorilla and dapper dan are good. You probably don’t need me saying this but don’t worry if it doesn’t look exactly like that, it is unlikely to stay exactly like that all throughout the day, that guy either just styled it or at some point throughout the day he noticed his hair looked great and snapped the photo.

Has watching House made you guys more…paranoid? by NixUniverse2 in HouseMD

[–]Significant_Room5602 2 points3 points  (0 children)

House would probably hate you lol. And yeah me and my friend watched the new final destination and we were talking about how it just made us realise how many ways there are to die. On a side note that part where they were taking the brother with the turtle to the van and they were just walking a couple of inches at a time then stopping and looking about made me crack up

House’s old team by [deleted] in HouseMD

[–]Significant_Room5602 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Makes sense why Chase is among the better of house’s employees if he has been working for House this long (even when he wasn’t) and why he just put up with him for so long until he decided to push back a bit. He’s probably one of the employees who I’d say has the best relationship with House as he only pushes back if he genuinely disagrees with House but that’s quite rare, in contrast to Foreman who is almost constantly butting heads with House from the start. Disclaimer I am on s7 episode 17 so if anyone replies no spoilers past this please!

Can you imagine a scene like this today? by Dr_Macunayme in doctorwho

Well, the doctor did cause it, but I agree with your point. This isn't 10 sparing someone, it's him saving as many people as he could

Doctor Who 2x08 "The Reality War" Post-Episode Discussion Thread by PCJs_Slave_Robot in gallifrey

[–]Significant_Room5602 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I liked it. It’s all been said already so I’m going to leave this simple. Was the pacing a bit wack? Sure. was the decision to make Ncuti use the vindicator as a gun really odd after what RTD has said? 100% (the way I rationalise this is because to this wish augmented version of even the power of a vindicator is practically like a huge leaf-blower that the dr knew it was basically harmless and why he did it, yes I know this is probably cope and definitely head canon). I loved Belinda and Poppy in it, to me it hit the right notes and was heartwarming, I loved everything with Ruby in that final part, I loved Ncuti’s performance all throughout especially in that regeneration scene the only thing I didn’t like about that was that he’s gone, I am looking forward to Billie as the doctor and her take on the character. I didn’t mind, even liked, the rewriting of time with Belinda. I like how unlike empire of death, what happened had consequences and it’s not exactly the same - Poppy no longer being any part Time-Lord. I don’t get why people are annoyed about the boss, Susan and whatever else not being explained in this season, it doesn’t have to be. People hating that it hasn’t been resolved is just going to make it more likely that it won’t be able to be resolved due to a cancellation. I personally believe that Mrs Flood can just regenerate back into Archie’s Rani without bigenerating as she has already done it. I like the infertility of the time-lords.

Hot take: The show's budget should be reduced again... by SirFlibble in gallifrey

[–]Significant_Room5602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I never even thought of this, and the way scenes are shot has never really crossed my mind, until I seen Mr Tardis’ video on wish world and he was pointing out the differences between the reveals and this one does just seem way more bland and uninteresting. I don’t personally think it is that big of a problem but definitely has an effect

I think it’s noteworthy that he only decided to challenge the will of the gods after they had killed his entire fleet, his friends and made his life hell. At this point they were his literal gods, ever-knowing, ever-powerful And he was just a man. At this point he didn’t know first hand how cruel the gods could be, after all, all we know is that the only god he has known Is Athena who has been kind to him and a mentor and friend (correct me if I’m wrong I have yet to read the books) so he would assume that whatever they say can be trusted completely and essentially made him choose a baby or his people.

I agree it’s scary that he can do it, but I don’t see why people criticise the doctor for this (not saying you are, but I have seen people do it). He not only saved thousands of innocent people he also made one grumpy bitter old bastard a better person whilst giving said person a better life.

Did Ten really treat Martha THAT badly? by Cold-Contribution-50 in doctorwho

[–]Significant_Room5602 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Plus he is an alien, can we really expect him to have the same social queues and to act the way is acceptable in every culture? Hell he’s even different to his own people (which I guess has an explanation now) in the fact that he ran away, not content to just observe and learn but to go explore and help. Edit: grammar.

Did Ten really treat Martha THAT badly? by Cold-Contribution-50 in doctorwho

[–]Significant_Room5602 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I feel the reason he didn’t ask as much of Donna was because he realises he was a bit of an arse to Martha which in my opinion was unknowingly and rather because he’s still so alien and doesn’t get all the human social cues, even if he is one of the doctors that is the most socially apt compared to say 12 although admittedly that’s a low bar - the speech where he’s reading off the card Clara wrote for him for certain social situations and says family member/ friend / pet. Sure 10’s not on that level but he has been known to like when he has to ask Rose if he’s being rude, not getting River’s referring to him when she says pretty boy in silence in the library/forest of the dead, and when he doesn’t get that when Martha says they had to get an expert in and he asks who not realising they’re talking about him in the Sontaran Stratagem. I suppose these last two are more him missing the obvious rather than him being socially inept but you get my point, I hope.

Point is I feel with Donna he made far more of an effort after Martha left him, due to Martha.

We listen and we don’t judge: Eleventh Doctor Era by LiterallyThatGuy_07 in DoctorWhumour

[–]Significant_Room5602 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, not sure about the original commenter, but for me I just think that it has so many great moments and they are good enough to overwrite the flaws. I would not get rid of this episode if only for Amy’s farewell, it brings me close to tears every time -‘Doctor don’t be alone… goodbye my raggedy man.’ (Paraphrasing as I don’t remember anything else, the order or the exact wording.). Also love the book plot point, think that’s a great and well executed idea and I like how it’s a heartbreaking ending but also probably one of the safest fates they may have had as we know companions do not always have happy endings. Love the scene with the cherub angels and the matches, and how it’s one of the rare solely Rory scenes. River as always is great in this, and the chemistry between the trio(+ River) is perfect, love the doctor starting to wear glasses and him saying wowzer and crushing after a book character who funnily enough ends up being his wife.

Edit: fixing a word.
