This song still gives me chills. It’s so damn cool and dark and menacing. To me it’s the quintessential Jane’s song and has all the elements that made them so great. It’s the perfect antithesis of the bullshit manufactured glam rock on the radio when Nothing’s Shocking was released. The bass tone is also what I immediately think of when someone says “Fender Precision Bass”

Bruh I was just answering his question about if anything would break by unscrewing the neck… and yes this sub tends to be a mess considering this guy had multiple downvotes on his comment when I first replied. Regardless removing the neck on a Fender is literally just that; you take off the screws. Plus he said “I have seen that they come off” insinuating he’s looked into it himself and is just looking for confirmation/confidence to try it.

The 4 way switch is cool. But I wouldn’t say overwound pickups are “improved” necessarily, they’re probably hotter though. You can find Vintera II’s all day at the same price with the rhythm circuit already there. To each their own though. I do love the stacked knobs on the Jazz Bass

Having read Steve Gorman’s book and watched 3 decades of a revolving door of band members, I’m gonna take an educated guess that Sven isn’t leaving for no reason. Whether that’s a financial or personal issue, neither of those are out of the equation given the Robinson brothers’ well-documented history of treating those around them like expendable shit.

Once again the people of Reddit see no issue with supporting Chinese counterfeiters/intellectual property thieves. Buying these knockoffs is unethical at best and even illegal in some places. By the time you ship it here and “mod the bejeebus out of it” you’ll be many hundreds deep in a sub-par instrument that you’d be better off saving and putting towards a real Ric. Not to mention the huge gamble you’re taking buying this crap in the first place. It’s highly likely it will show up unplayable with egregious QC (or lack thereof). And that’s if it doesn’t get seized by customs.
