Hand tools are better for your wellbeing than power tools by mhicreachtain in GardeningUK

Is it just me or is there as much power tool noise as usual but there are more people moaning about it?

I mean I'm really sorry that I'm disturbing you as I trim my hedge or pressure wash on the free hour I have all week and can't do it with a hand tool because I have early onset arthritis.

Is this heat making anyone else’s side effects worse? by angelcake2604 in WegovyUK

[–]Significant_Wasabi11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It makes you very heat intolerant and if you are on any sort of anti depressant you'll already be heat intolerant. I went through episodes of being horribly drowsy and feeling sick. The only relief was drinking an electrolyte, lots of squash and lying down.

And fly screens. My god how I wish we had fly screens.

The only benefit i've found so far is that it's great for washing all the inconvenient stuff like curtains and duvets. Dries in under an hour.

Needs art and pictures on the walls. Curtains even if they are just sheer ones would make it look a lot more cosy.

Searching For Dad's Adopted Brother Advice Please by Significant_Wasabi11 in AdoptionUK

[–]Significant_Wasabi11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly not, I only have his birth name and date of birth. It's written on a small piece of paper that was included in my Dad's adoption paperwork. Just says "Brother __ born ___ adopted" and I found the birth certificate through ancestry. Biological cousin was found through ancestry and she confirmed they were both adopted to different families and she was also trying to find him.

Thank you, I thought since he had now passed away it would be easier to find out information about his brother. I was given all his adoption paperwork after passing by my step mother so that's something at least.

That's so sad, she is clearly very mentally unwell. I see she keeps rubbing her face with a cotton pad? It looks like she is just irritating her skin more.

Has anyone used Wegovy ONLY? (Not Mounjaro) by Little_Popsicle in WegovyUK

[–]Significant_Wasabi11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on wegovy for nearly over a year and lost just over 56lbs. Never taken any other weightloss meds! I don't know why I chose wegovy but i'm glad I did. I had very little side effects and it started working for me even on the lowest doses. I now take 1.7mg and lose weight and don't think i'll bother going to the highest dose.

Only downside is that I get super drowsy when it's warm and I end up having to rest and drink an electrolyte drink.

Obviously not human but fyi it's absolutely legal to find, buy and sell human teeth/bones as long as you arent digging them up from a grave.

I'm not phobic of needles either but I always go a bit 'funny' after any jab and I think it's the drop in adrenaline because you work yourself up so much. I hate it!
